I was reading an old chronical from last year, and they had this as a TO target. It could happen, especially with the investment portfolio reducing the EV.

It makes sense for a short selling case. If you know there will be sellers over 12 months, you get in first selling. Then you can buy yours back at the end after the price has collapsed. Its has no bearing on the company. So anyone buying for a SIPP or ISA will do well here over a few years. I honestly think this will multibag if held over 5 years.

I honestly think the sell off is not related to the oil price. It is all about IHT net outflows, and you can thank Rachel Reeves for the price crash.

IF she promised to leave IHT rules as they are, I think the selling would stop over night. You have to bear in mind that in 2023, this was around £3.50 so people are still in profit, hence the selling before robbing Rachel sticks her greasy fingers in the cookie jar.

I was going to say earlier this week, the middle east tensions are bad for AT. Oil was rising as supply was potentially going to be curtailed. IF the area becomes too dangerous to operate in, they will lose revenue over there. Im not worried, but correcting a post I saw earlier this week.

I am actually a little concerned that they took the new CFO 'back again'. Why cant they find untainted talent? Perhaps BVC needs new blood, not some old boys network.

No way did I expect to be exiting YOU today. Have held some of those since early this year. I remember liberation day, seeing huge loss on all my positions, including YOU. Just goes to show, if you keep within your financial limits, you can normally wait these things out. Been buying and selling on and off, that pullback was a gift that really got me out with a decent profit.

I expect this is a short closing, but I prefer to hold companies that re not approaching news. Not sure which way YOU will go, look at NCC and GBG recently, different sectors but weak sales due to uncertainty. (I am trading those now LOL).

Be back on results day, or massive pullback to low 3's.

As the whole market dropped from last week, I wasnt able to capitalise on this as much as I would have liked. I bought twice, but I should have got some at 315, but I had no margin left at that point. Was very glad when MEGP went crazy this week (got out) and now half out here. Margin looking a lot more healthy.

My number 1 objective currently is to get flat. running out of margin can be costly in terms of lost profit and forced losses. I will be glad to exit YOU from my trading account in total if we crack 340. Iv had enough dribs and drabs out of it. Dont fancy being levered in to results. (Still hold in my pension and will continue in to results).

David Ward, Chief Financial Officer has today purchased 10,000 Ordinary shares. Obviously didn't want the dividend to mess up his tax return :)

GAMA share price is at a 18 month low after moving the to the MM. This is despite a on going buy back.

AT need to up their game, I was thinking a BB might help, especially as the volume of short sellers. Trouble is, they are a buy and build company, and have debt to repay.

To answer Henners as well, selling now means that I can sell 100% of my investment, rather than get 20% in a tender offer. I had about 2.5% of my pf here so getting it back in small amounts would not have been very helpful. As I said, I realised a 15% gain in 7 months. If every investment did that, you would significantly out perform the market! If you are still bullish, perhaps you should average down a bit. I still think it has legs. However if small caps take off, I think those will out perform 'trapped money' like this, hence my rational for selling. I also am hearing a lot of bear talk about the USA and the dollar, and that could affect the likes of this. Being iliquid it could drop as quickly as it has risen.

If you like Oxford, you could always consider some shares in the ticker IPO, I quite like that. Like a more liquid version of this.. (or a multitude of PE based funds). I did buy here for the wind up, but not so keen on waiting now the market is turning.

I think im most annoyed about losing a decent profit recently when this was trading a few pence higher. I had a large chunk in here, and didnt scrutinise what was happening enough. Its annoying to have held for a year and made no money what so ever. They seem to be unable to deliver on what they had previously proposed. I had recently become quite impressed with SEQI, and already had a holding there. The price is trending up and the dividend yield is still in the 8's - so I have made that my core holding rather than GCP. Maybe GCP will get a bid, that would make most sense, reading the article. Trouble is every one in the sector is trying to sell assets. They are probably worth more in the trust. I dont see how they can improve on the NAV discount with the HY results looking so bad. Plus their other fund has not performed well either. I think it might be better to buy investment trusts which focus specifically on renewables or social housing (I hold a few of these, id rather let NESF or BSIF deal with solar assets etc). Perhaps these guys are not really experts at anything? I especially hate having my capital handed back to me as dividends - really annoyed. I hope for other holders this does well, but for me personally a drop in the SP of a good few pence might tempt me back in, to recover losses. Long term it will probably be ok, but its just no where near the best. I would like the discount to go back near 40%. I think worth having a bit for a speculative bid situation, but thats all.

Trendz, how do you explain the US firm selling it short then?

Well I sold all of my INOV. I have held these since Nov 24, and with an average of around 11p, selling for 13.5p was too good to turn down. That banked me a 15% gain, which would more than suffice for my percentage return in 7 months. INOV could well go on a strong run, there was certainly buying demand for my shares, and the discount to NAV is still wide. However, you have to balance that with a potential melt down in the US, and a softening in appetite for private equity. Not to mention waiting here for an exit which could take a long time (or not if an offer lands). If I was going to add to funds in this sector, I have PEYS which is probably better prospect going forward.

I would say the upside is significant here, but the risk, or volatility is probably also significant. Good luck to any holders. I chose a 6% dividend yield uk focussed company smashed down by short sellers, in a sector currently at cyclical lows - (S3 recruitment). The situation feels very much like when I bought INOV.

Its disappointing i didn't get filled at 442.
