Djones. Thank you for asking, & I would like to tell you, but unfortutely this forum is full of people who just want to have a go at anybody who is honest enough to admit they are loseing on vod. The reason I am loseing is because I got it wrong, nothing to do with bent M.M's or the bent stock market. I just got it wrong & bad luck. Just because I understand how the stock market works, which I do, doesn't mean I can predict share price movements. I am a long term holder though & can afford to hold on, so wish me luck, please?

Avocet. Sorry to dissagree with you, but market cap is not based on earnings, it is based purely on the current share price. The sp is of course based on many things, but basically on what the market thinks the shares are worth. No point having an argument with jax unless you know what you are talking about & vice versa. You say up, he says down, time to move on I think.

Jax where do you get your info from. I have just looked up vods total asset value for 2023 as being 161 billion dollars, down 9.5% from 2022. Why do you make things up, it makes you look very foolish. Of course these valuations are very complex & open to debate, but with respect you seem to be negative just for the sake of it.

Vod's market cap is based on the current sp times the shares in circulation. So jax try & make sense please , so obviously not £5bn.
