Sorry, I need to correct myself. 22 over 7 is just a rough figure. There is no absulute value for pi. Where fractions however are better than decimals is with for example 1/3 , 1.33 recuring in decimal. I wonder, if we were to start from scratch, what would be the base number? 12 , Or ,8 but probably not 10. I think 12. 8 is more divisable, but involves more digits. Computers might favour 2 (binary) but no good for general use. Of course everthing needs to be linked, money, weight, distance, etc to really work well.

To compare Rolls Royce to vodafone Is complely crazy. Rolls increased its service budget to make more reliable (safe) engines & the market liked it. If vod crashes not good, but nobody dies. If a rolls royce powered plane crashes, dissaster. Different ball game!
