Gwm. Of course it is ok to discuss technicals if you know what you are talking about. is it ok with you if some of us want to predict the share price. Live & let live eh, we can't all be technical experts. The technicals are very complex. As for idea contributing to the sp, I think yes, but as idea is quite small, only by a small amout.

Rob, good post, there is far more to making money on shares than just being a good accountant. No dissrespect to fleccy, but he sometimes sounds like a horse race gambler,who is an expert on race horse form, but can't understand why he is losing money. If only it was that easy, we would all be accountants. Your mate Nick Read I think was a good accountant, he didn't go down that well? But of course fleccy is right by saying it is all very very complex.

Rob. I think you are missing the point. jax doesn't know which way the vod sp will go any more than you or me. The reason he is wrong, is because he thinks he knows it all. Just like a school child that neads to grow up.

Of course total return is what matters, that is the whole point of my original post. No good good paying a big divi if the sp is falling by the same, or more than the divi. I just think this free cash flow thing is just confusing the issue. With all due respect to jedclampit, I don't think he has a clue, & nobody can call me a de ramper! Divi cover needs to be above 1.5 to be ok, so hopefully vod can achieve that. By all means be possitive, but not blinkered please.

My question was a very serious one I feel, to mole, fleccy, or anybody else who can bothered to take it seriously. What is free cash flow? Why was vod considered a cash cow? We seem to have only 2 people left on her that have a clue what they are talking about in these matters. fleccy in the blue corner & mole in the red corner. Complicated I know, but just," I say up, you say down" is just pointless nonsense. (apart from roofers prophecy game of course)

Jax. Do you by any chance work for rent an idiot? If not, then apply. The vod sp on the nasdaq currently equates to 71.49. compared to the l.s.e. close of 70.63. Hardly tanking is it? Being stupid is nothing to ashamed of, but being proud to be stupid is very stupid.

Free cash flow. Fleccy & mole. What does free cash flow actually mean? I think it is meaningless. Profit is what counts. We need the profit to be more than the dividend. Lets hope that will happen soon. There is nothing free about free cash flow. It comes at a cost.
