Another big hitter in late afternoon trading - 2.5million shares @ 5.38p - you don't usually see that kind of purchase in the AIM market - so with a fair wind in Gabon - I foresee good results in the next month or two.

When I saw the sp fall today, tried to buy into that and couldn't get a quote even at Best for any meaningful amount. Tried down to 20000 shares and still no automatic price - put a larger number 80000 for a broker deal but no response until now at 2pm bought at 2.19p

Never thought buying Fox would be that difficult - presage good news perhaps ?

Rene is the kind of share that pulled Woodford down and I think that those of us that have been here a long time probably all of us share that disappointment. I suppose I'll get over it if they achieve the 3 options targets then - dactions "pull yourself together" :-)

As a LTH it's good to see that the SP didn't fly away on the news this morning. We'll hold on to SP growth if the increase is steady and we're more likely to sustain the SP this way until the next news breaks.

It's exciting confirmation of what we knew already. It is a slow road when we watch the share movements so closely - but the likelihood in my opinion is that we'll see positive sp movement - and I for one would like it just to be steady at this stage.

BrainQ sounds a very exciting treatment - very much thinking out of the box. But Rene's CTX program I had thought was showing promise and indeed if that was indeed so, why the Board of Rene pulled out from advancing the program further. Was it really lack of funds ?

My take on this is one of disappointment - both Hellebo and Hunt are well paid - particularly Hellebo - and already have options and the shareprice shows is a good reflection that they haven't performed to date. Look at the size of options given to Hellebo relative to every one else - is that where the problem's been all these years - I think so.

It’s been less than a month since this thread was started and the SP has roughly doubled. Sentiment is clearly more positive following the release of trading figures from Woodbois - I felt at the time the market wasn’t giving them credit.

There’s been some two - way trading - lots of small to medium sized deals but there’s been a few ‘biggies’. End of trading yesterday there was a 1.2 million buy at 5.3p and tonight yet another big buy - this time 1.7 million shares again at 5.3p

Someone bigger than me has a lot of confidence. I’ve been in them for some years buying some parcels of shares as high as 20p and they were even higher at one time.

If we get another set of good trading figures for February like the good ones we saw for January, then I don’t see why we won’t get a further good uplift in the SP.

Can anyone explain please the multitude of small buy transactions showing today ?

WBI is using their twitter feed once more which to me shows further evidence if any were needed that they're trying to find ways to re-energise their profile. The SP has reacted positively accordingly - what a welcome change in the sp in just a month.

Very little share volume today and the wide spread (10%) doesn't help.
Oh for a really substantial contract to lift this dismally low share price.

Vinson - thanks for link - I was sceptical that the rate could be so high but this very interesting report makes it very clear - and has a lot to say about the whole market - a good read.

Page 29 is where you'll see the statistics and that the highest percentage rate of success (ie. comes to market) applies to Respiratory drugs/treatments.

On a dull day generally on the stockmarket, it was good to see a late 1 millions plus shares buy along with a lot more smaller buys further strengthening the share price. The sp rises may be modest but the trend is a good one.

Thanks Urraca - TW doesn't say a lot but he clearly feels there could be a useful turn made here for the short term holder.

I sold out immediately following the placement news at 2.5p so did reasonably well as it looks right now - but then I had gone in heavy at 3.5p to 4p some while back so came out of it at quite a loss. I think what makes me wary is the money that this business has lost for earlier shareholders at 7p placing and the more recent 4.5p placing (I think those figures are right).

What did they have to show for all those millions of £'s ?
A very clever diagnostics kit for would-be parents, a good app to go with it and yet an amazingly small £50,000 turnover last year. So not a good investment on the face of it.

I watched the VOX video this evening and it's the first time I've seen their CEO Penny explain some of their ambitions. It wasn't explosive ramping but she did have a quiet but assertive manner and appears to be building a good team, noticeably all females. This business could take off this time with a bit of luck too - and perhaps that has been the COVID issues which will allow them, assuming they're up to it, to build a decent brand.

I'm thinking of going back in - I'm just wondering though whether the sp might not get to be a bit weaker before it gets stronger - so will watch for the moment - after all they've all got on board at 1.75p so there's quite a percentage difference at the moment.

This morning ‘s announcement to raise £3 millions at 1.75p a share will be a disappointment to existing shareholders that have held from earlier Concepta days and previous much higher placings.

What is a brutal to read is that they lost £2.5 millions in the year to date and yet, unless it is a misprint, only achieved a turnover of £50,000 !

What to make of such a sorry outcome from products that had such high promise ?

There had been market rumours a week ago and there was an announcement of wanting to raise funds and I bailed out immediately on that announcement. I’m so glad I did.

The new BoD May have better talents than their predecessors but it’s going to take an act of faith to go along on this journey with them.

I expected RNS this morning to be about recent theft. So was surprised to see instead the detail about January's excellent performance so close on the back of the good end quarter detail we had a couple of weeks back.

The cynic in me would think we're getting such great news to lessen any pain we might get about the Ivory Coast affair, but I quickly came to the conclusion this morning, that this is about the BOD being determined to get the SP back up on an upward trend.

So, to help us both - I bought more this morning !

I think it was 8.24am this morning when I had notice of the RNS - not 7 - 8am prior to markets opening that my other stocks achieve - not the first time with TPG.

Nor is it the first time to get limited information on the figures actually reported - one's left with 'guess your own actual profit or loss figure' - obviously it is going to be the latter.

We can assume that the Maritime Engineering division has been put up for sale to release badly needed funds for cash flow needs as well as some reinvestment no doubt. But I doubt that Cartmell could easily persuade the market on the merits of a cash raising right now hence the offered sale. That business has always been profitable generating over £5 millions net. Not glamorous perhaps but real profits nevertheless - I'm not saying it should be sold or kept, that's for the BOD to decide - but I do question the wisdom of acquiring Osprey in the face of the Pandemic.

I've been in TPG since 2013 coming in on the back on their engineering skills in the Gas drilling business when known as Corec - shares then were trading at 10-11p. We had the big cash raise @ 6.5p in 2017 with big plans for acquisitions and the inference given at the time was the BOD knew who they were interested in - but we discovered as time passed this was not the case. I invested heavily in that cash raise.

I finally decided last November to sell half my holding - best I could get was about 5p and then I had to sell in small parcels of 25k 50k so hardly a fluid market. So taken a loss yes, but it released funds which I promptly invested in Synairgen at 90p when it was suffering a fall and is now at 170 - 180p and I'm sticking with them.

I would have sold out completely in November but that holding was with another Broker and besides I wouldn't have put all my eggs even into the Synairgen basket despite how sure of them I am, so I'm still here with a meaningful holding. Now though, I no longer have faith in Phil Cartmell's ability - he hasn't shareholder's interest in mind - only his own. I had hoped to exit with these results but will have to wait a while.

There is no focus to the World's lumber markets, or at least I don't think so - no equivalence to the oil market's 'spot Brent' for example - but one of the main reasons why I feel Woodbois should be a good recovery stock is the underlying price increases in lumber. I feel whatever WBI does, it must benefit their bottom line by virtue of the substantial increase in world markets for wood products.

"In some cases, lumber prices have doubled and tripled over the past year. OSB board prices, for example, were three times higher in September 2020 compared to September 2019"

Coincidentally, Woodbois said they did their first ever supply to the US in the previous quarter and Paul Dolan put great store to that point in his recent report, so more of that trade this quarter will be very profitable for them I would have thought.

Trinityman - I was in the audience that day - I think it was about 4/5 years ago - RM said then and I've heard him several times since speak in similar measured tones. There is never any bull**** with him.
