These are absolutely cracking good results in spite of Covid - management are clearly focused on achieving even better results going forward. As an aside, notice too how quickly we’re being updated - all augers well for shareholders.

Lutra - I agree with you - the new CEO hasn't had a chance to put his mark on the Company and he showed his commitment with a high personal stake. If you're a holder of TPG and don't need the money, then one could sit on ones hands and see what develops. For the moment, I'm out as I decided to take the loss having made some capital gains elsewhere. I shall be watching TPG as I'd really like to recover some of those earlier losses.

With such a high II's profile and given the dismal share performance of the company since the placing 2017, I can't see that it would take much of an offer to buy them out. Moreover, we now know there was no great clamour to buy the Maritime division. So perhaps a bid around 6p is all it will take ?

I don't normally trade shares but was able to buy in at 4.7p first thing this morning and decided to come out at a little over 5p + 15 minutes later. TPG has not been a good ride these past years and I can well understand why one of the IIs (M& G ?) has offloaded to Science Group.

M&G have long been a major investor over very many years and I've often wondered why they stuck with the group as it continually reported losses.

Best price to buy at opening was 4.7p for only a small amount.

I invested heavily in the 6p placing but I also did the same at last year’s 2p one so shouldn’t be too badly affected. However, I have been with them since the Obtala day’s when the sp at times was around 18-22p range.

We were making solid progress following the new management’ change of direction these past 2 years but I think the current sp situation stems from Paul Dolan’s slight naivety at the Zoom AGM when responding to a shareholder’s question on the then disappointing sp.

He spent too much time talking about carbon credits, important as they are, but without extolling the virtues of current trading. And he referred to how well the sp was relative to the 2p placing !

I would also have liked him to have spoken about the staff in Gabon and their protection or otherwise against Covid and whether the company was doing anything to help them.

So, for once, in my opinion I thought he could have presented the company better and that is why the sp is currently disappointing.

I see TW has again made a buy recommendation for the ‘umpteenth time’ - does it carry any weight for Opti or is he like the rest of us wondering when the sp will properly reflect the company’s true worth ?

TT - I'm not sure how to interpret your succinct message - but I do wonder if this doesn't presage a discounted placing coming ?

In the last placing at 6p, the BoD have indicated they expect to pay dividends next year based on 2021 results.

These 'stonkingly' good figures for the first half year, augers well for them to realise this dividend ambition and the great boost it will have on the shareprice. The company is looking really good.

Today's quick announcement following Cartmell's resignation last week suggests, I think, a great deal of foreplanning. The principal aims are clear and will correspond with what most of us want to see. It's now looking good at last.

TP Group (AIM: TPG) announces the appointment of David Lindsay as Interim Chief Executive Officer. David's immediate priority will be to provide an in-depth strategic and operational review of the business with a focus on identifying short-term as well as structural ways to significantly improve performance. There will be a particular focus on improving the margins across the business.

Some large buys are going through today - as well as many medium sized ones - I wonder if some good trading figures are soon to be announced ?

Unless there's a leak of info ? But it wouldn't surprise me as Management were very quick to publish last time after the half year end. Added again myselftoday at 4.5p

John Shimell heads the Autonomous division for TP Group and the technology of the IMECHE article was for underwater devices but TPG are also active in above ground again in environments where GPS isn't available for guidance systems - see here:

Dinoken - I firmly believe you can blame this on one man, Cartmell was running this company as his own fiefdom these past years. The group reflects his ambitions but which he didn't have the skill to achieve. The remainder of the BoD were spineless. I can't back this up by anything factual other than Cartmell's continuous 'jam tomorrow' pronouncements at each half year.

But I have been a shareholder from the Corec days.

So, the right CEO who is 'listening' to all its parts can make a meaningful difference. The sp should rise from here on in.
