Am I asking a daft question or could TPG do well out of the joint partnership with US and UK for the massive order to supply submarines to Australia ?

So the numbers of LSE are misleading right now.

Krazy - I suppose it's possible to interpret it to mean even larger trading but if it turns out to be as Weathergeek says, then I'll be happy. Opening this morning is firm which is good - although spread is wide.

I regard the reissue of friday’s rns this morning as a very good sign that the board want see the sp supported.

I too think we were seeing panic sales last week - yes understandable but that is often the time to increase one's holding if you can. As I said on another thread, whilst I added two tranches, it did seem like catching a falling knife.

But I decided to sell other shares so I could add further MHC ones based on my judgement that MHC would recover better - generally AIM shares were weak last week too. The RNS Friday evening was a statement without panic, very reasonable and should allay many smaller shareholders fears. Now, after the Government pronouncements, we can see that they're not sure when testing or by whom will end. And with journalists now recording an upsurge in holiday bookings, despite the vagueness of the Testing procedures, suggest good income for testers over the next 6 weeks. Note how the story moves on so quickly.

Hold on to your shares - the sp will firm up. GLA

I’m glad the BoD made the announcement yesterday- it showed us shareholders that they’re aware as well they might be with their own large holdings.

I’m hopeful we might get some mention in the weekend press and this statement will provide reassurance for next week’s share dealings.

Some other big holders (like Tom W*********) will have been seriously impacted by the sudden falls this past week. For me, I tried to mitigate it by topping up - but the stock markets can at times feel like you’re catching a falling knife - so I topped up again yet ever lower but only to see it fall a bit more. I content myself knowing that MHC is doing really well and we’ve had confirmed that the money is still being raked in.

As sure as night follows day, that money will be the rock on which the share price will rise again.

EXCellent post from the BoD this evening and really today’s government announcement is in line with the way I had expected it - I didn’t see the panic of so many investors selling at silly prices.

The company has done really well on the back of covid testing - that money is now in the bank and will mean they’re in a good position to fund the future products. Not many other industries have fared so well in this pandemic.

I do see the sp strengthening from here up to the results announcement. It’s in the BoD’s interest too don’t forget. I’m quite certain they are conscious of the need for a steadily growing sp. I am happy for now that they are focused getting as much earnings from Covid testing as they can and to get the next 2 months worth is fantastic as there was always the possibility the government may have called a halt to pcr testing two months ago when the Daily Mail was flying that kite in late July.

At the next financial announcement at the end of the month, I’d like to learn more detail of when new products can be expected and how they intend to market them. If we get that, then I for one will be happier.

Monday should be good and hopefully some of the weekend press will help that come to pass.

The payment of half a million pounds to Cartmell leaves a bad taste for me. Also, the highlighting of problems at Westek (a business I never felt right for TPG). I think the interims are a sorry affair.

The new CEO is having to make the best of it - he probably was the best man to turn this around a year ago but I think this is a lost cause now for us existing shareholders - I'm looking for myself a best exit now.

Unfortunately, it is the 'no news' period which gives rise to these sort of stories - I can't believe I forecasted in November 2020 after the £87.1millions placing that we'd have good news from the trials as early as mid to late February - I can see with the benefit of hindsight it was a totally naive statement but I bet most of us on this board would have thought then, if not February then certainly by late Spring.

In my long years of investing, I can't think of another situation quite like this of Synairgen - it's because of its uniqueness, at least in my mind, that I am hesitant yes, but also confident that when the RNS lands, this share will become very dramatic. It'll be a question whether I can continue to hold through further ups or downs even if the trajectory is upwards. Will I sell too soon after all this waiting ? I'm hoping that the Board will do the thinking for me and seek out a good Pharma to take it forward.

I'll have to get to bed now as I need to get up again at 7am Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thurs . . . .

sexykiwi59 - I can't agree with you about the need for any Board announcement - this is the stock market and shares will go up and down - we know in any case that today's fall is based on public sentiment which itself is based on journalism - not necessarily fully factual. We're promised half year results and an indication of quarter 3 trading near the end of the month, so only a couple of weeks away.

Be patient - figures should be good and the BoD will too want to see a growing sp themselves. The sp in my opinion will recover.

Unfortunately, loadsoflolly - SoH is beginning to sound like a broken record - as a LTH myself I do feel the timeline has slipped quite significantly. Thank goodness for SBTX !

Having seen all weekend papers, I haven't seen anything really worth mentioning in relation to MHC (or Boots for that matter). It's easy to panic and the MMs know they can induce that in some AIM stocks.

August trading figures would be good to know (I'm sure they'll be excellent) but I suppose we won't hear until early October.

Spread now less than first thing this morning. It's a shame the drop happened but decided to sell some other shares so I could generate some more cash and get more MHC shares at 2.54.
