Since the recent clamour of so-called ramping posts has now quietened down - shares in WoodBois have been actively traded. Already this morning there have been numerous large Buys - it's been a year since the fund raise of 6p and apart from the big temporary tick up in April/May, it has effectively taken all of that time to get back to this price.

But we're there now and this could be a good time to progress from here as we're only 3 weeks or so from the 2nd quarter's results - assuming the Board is as quick to announce as we have come to expect. Paul Dolan has been cautiously upbeat in his recent pronouncements and I'm hoping the forthcoming results will be good.

He last reported that "Absent any further material disruption to the shipping routes and container availability we plan to deliver strong quarter-on-quarter growth throughout the remainder of the year." If so, we might at last break free of this present narrow shares trading band. GLA

Good points Londonmarket - I agree about the price - I would have liked it to have been £45 inc vat instead of plus vat as I feel this is more akin to the products worth in my opinion. However, at this benchmark price they can always offer a discount if they wanted to. I’m hoping they’ll do this for early sales and I’ve registered myself today with an MHC account through the website - thinking this might get me more regular updates and even possible discounts !

Well, I do like the refresh of the website - understandably they show Covid testing at the top - the structure is clean and straightforward. But there's no mention under the Wellness Test that they're suppliers to Boots etc, so clearly they want to see if they can go it alone without losing margin to the chemists etc.

They will have a massive customer email base from all that Covid testing - if they have any sense, they should offer a substantial discount which is time-limited to that customer base.

I echo others thoughts about the limited detail from the RNS - really the problem there is that they missed getting this out in time for the recent meeting. I too am disappointed by the market's reaction but not surprised really as the whole thing has taken a long time to get to fruition and is rather underwhelming.

If they are going to exclude the retailers, they will have to work hard to get the sales either by advertising or deep discounts to previous customers - the latter would be my choice. Let's see what happens re. marketing in the next few days - we should then get a better idea if they're going to be successful. GLA

Good points alamo55 - I’m sure they’ll have been in touch with their High Street retailers although there’s no mention in the RNS. Interestingly the leaked webpage had shown cost of £45 which is what Randox are charging, not £54 which is MHCs offering. Let’s see what the website looks like later today.

jamrock - you misunderstood me. If the new products when they come out are not the wider range and pricing that we saw briefly a few weeks back, it will be me seeking an exit (sell my holding) - I wasn't referring to the Board seeking an exit.

ace2326 - I'm only one opinion but to my mind if the new products are indeed what we temporarily saw, then we could see 3p + again.

I’ve been proved right that the sp would be weak following what I saw was a disappointing 2021 results statement. I don’t take any pleasure from that - to my mind the reason is simple - no new products.

If they come out very soon AND the ranges and pricing are what we saw briefly when MHC “mistakenly” changed their website, then the sp will recover. But if they’re nothing more than what are currently on the website as “available soon”, then I think we may be in trouble. Of course I don’t mean ‘in trouble’ straightaway as other shareholders will see it as positive but my feelings are the Board are no longer performing as dynamically as before and I will be thinking of an exit.

As I have a lot of shares, the wide spread and limit on deal size will cause their own problems. So, in conclusion I’m hoping for some really positive news and soon. GLA

I watched the AGM meeting recording (skipped the first chunk which was just going through the votes) and was very impressed indeed with what I heard about their trading ambitions and carbon credits too.

Also, today's RNS pointed to the updated website - which is looking exceedingly good and we know we can expect early next month, their half year's trading results. Unlike most AIM and even many on the main exchange, where there is little information from one period to the next, whereas WoodBois is quick to update us. I see the share price continue to strengthen. GLA

Checking this morning I see that most deals showing on LSE as Sells are actually Buys,
At 10.20am Sell price is 6.6p and Buy price is 6.655p

It is a very positive trend.

Jonah - the Government stopped all tree exports 2018 - I guess that ties in with its award of a PCPF (Forest Carbon Partnership Facility) from the World Bank but certificated logging was supposed to have restarted late 2020 but I think the terrorist incursions have stopped that as far as WoodBois is concerned. The sawmill is in Nampula at least 600km from any trouble and even though it's somewhat small and sporadic up there,it was particularly brutal by IS militants around Mocimba da Praia if I remember the news.

jamrock - re. your question to me why I want to consider profit taking etc. - I was simply responding to vinnie2919 statement: "I believe market currently being at 1.8 is simply short term investors selling off for a profit and causing a small dip after a large rise"

There are and have been out and out rampers on this BB playing the rest of us for fools - coming on here with vacuous statements about how wonderful this share is etc. But the fact is the new products have not materialised and the website hasn't changed all year. To my business mind, a small company like MHC should be much more quicker off the mark - if it says last year that new products will be out 2022 I don't take that to be almost halfway in the year - although at least today 7th June the Chairman says they will be out this month. But the financial figures today were about 2021 - what news about these past 5 months ?

Yes, I can be knocked about my negativity but it's not being inpatient to expect a small company to deliver more information and/or results. Unless something dynamic turns up reasonably soon, I can't see how the sp will ever get back to its earlier peaks last year.

What those of us who are criticizing management for could be summed up as 'lack of ambition'. As a LTH myself, the share has been disappointing. I very much doubt anyone is able to 'profit take' with such a persistently wide spread.

The new products have been promised for much time now and it must be seen as a disappointment that they couldn't get it done by the time of this announcement. It's no wonder the sp is languishing. A marketing milestone has been missed through these past months. A small company dies if it cannot attack its market - Randox - I agree so much bigger in scale but they are attacking the market that MHC had wanted to make its own. I'll continue to hold my shares but I am concerned that the big sales ambition I thought I saw in MHC may not be as strong as we first thought.

Poor opening market as I thought - limited live quote trading this morning - can't even buy or sell £900 of stock.

There is promise for the future but I don’t think the market will be good for us today.
