It may have been posted before (can’t be bothered checking as so much negativity on here) but odeon are open all week this half term showing classics like back to the future and running a 50% off for cineworld unlimited members.

I’m staying in, after a expected bad results announcement we are at same place we were Monday and it’s starting to claim a bit, as people keep saying it’s not a loss until you sell. I’ve wasted money buying and panic selling this share not falling that that this time!
The whole FTSE 250 is actually in the same path today anyway.
On the bright side Mobile part of the business makes a loss for DIxons carphone so cutting out a bad deal with EE is preferable to having it.
I’d rather have Less options so fewer sales at a profit than lots of sales at a Loss. Fingers crossed Maybe next end of year trading statement will show mobile breaking even or even green!
Saw the film yesterday really enjoyed it, I actually didn’t sleep great last night as kept dreaming about the film and waking up it certainly exercises your brain :-D
Dixons Carphone is positioning itself as an online now with an increased focus on online, i feel the stores are almost second fiddle now and treated as an addition to the online service.
Having stores can benefit, have you tried the same day pickup service? you purchase an item of stock online it directs you to nearest store, you pull up in a highlighted space outside the shop, scan a QR code and they put item in your boot with zero contact (or bring it to you if your walking).
If item isn't in you do the same but its delivered to a store next day for free, once kids go back to school this will be much needed as we are not all sat at home for when parcels arrive but we all have a local Currys pcworld we can nip too, even better if we just pick up parcel outside.
All the guys/gals in shop walk around with iPad in little bags around waist if an item isn't stocked they order it for you in store and from what they said the sale is credited to that sales colleague for bonus/targets.
I turned filters off as seems to have gone very quiet on here since it’s gone up from the 30’s dip, exception of ever optimistic ShorterGuy of course but I enjoy his posts.
Only 5p from that June 8th spike! Onwards and upwards!
“Day should read say... stupid telephone”
I thought you were just sticking with your allo allo reference doing a terrible french accent :-D
I’ve realised who shorterguy reminds me of!
He’s Marvin From hitchhikers guide to the galaxy!

I panic sold at 35p as losing my job and being 2k down but I’ve jumped back in at 45p. Mistakes were made but feel happy for a recovery now!
I have 1k in boohoo thinking of taking out and putting in here too, boohoo is steady compared to cine so on the fence on that :-D
Knowing my luck it’ll go to £1 this afternoon now I’ve sold :-D
Not trying to add to the negatively on this board (my chat is full of green filtered lines from the usual suspects.
Looks like I’m being made redundant and watch this share plummet and my money dwindle is stressing me out..
I’m a small fish but £2k down is my limit and has stung me so I’ll wait until after the next announcement I think before jumping back in.
Masks, 1 empty seat gap, Not talking (shhhh) and not facing each other put me at ease and I’ve been very cautious during Covid with very little shopping etc.

It’s a good headline but how likely are they to x10 the share price in 5years to unlock that payout?
Dixons did similar in 2018 it’s due to pay out this year for staff, good idea that all staff are shareholders I hope most don’t cash out at this lower price and keep the investment.

Re: Sharefall
Unfortunate username for use a positive message hope you haven't jinxed it! :-P
I hope it’s good news tomorrow too, feels like the market is bracing for something today with the drop today, don’t think anyone knows which way this is gonna swing.
I’m considering Boohoo once they reach bottom as thought the same once this dusts off they will recover, just waiting for a refund on a sharesave they was priced out even before covid and I’ll invest it in either that or easyJet, hold cine and switch off for a few months At least it’s too much to watch the rollercoaster I’ll close my eyes for bit till it’s all over :-D
@Bolox yeah u get you, I just don't see anything interesting to watch until the end of July when Cine open. I'm a big film buff, used to go 52times a year lived 5mins away from a VUE now I go maybe 10-15times and my local is Odeon about 15-20mins away.
I cant be bothered going this month though as just nothing to attract me, just a bunch of films that are on sky/Netflix/amazon already or I've seen several times so wouldn't even take the kids as i cant justify £30+ for a visit.
I'm thinking most are like me and Odeon a losing money on wages and energy bills I'd bet screens are playing to empty seats.
When i look at the timetable for this year i will 100% want to go to Tenet on 31st, i count 9 films i want to see this year i'll let you guess what ones as i dont want to get into a war of my bad taste in films :-D
