Just catching up.
'all the good posters have gone'. Maybe they sold at 54p and will be back soon? (I wish I had. I also bet those >117p easily impressed friends of Donald had waited too).
People say that the LFT was a failure but where would AVCT be now had the cash raises not taken place. Would AVCT have any money at all now? Hard to tell.
AS seems to manage, like a space ship uses the planets to sling-shot before heading into deep space, to use LFTs, PIs, to keep the company moving forward. Let's hope that speed is picked up rather than crashing into the surface due to orbit decay.
What a day, beautiful views of the Dalmatian coast and great trials data sends the AVCT price surging up… 30%? 20%? 1.4%? Zero % since I last briefly looked?
Very good news indeed that people are alive today who otherwise would not be.
I hope you’ve all been nice to Wyn whilst family Geeman is away.
I shall read up tonight on your comments on the presentation later.
Wyn, I actually thought you could have written that post of PLs :-)
DTW: wasn't it Indy Nile who wrote that, after the raise, 'it'd be churlish to say that wyn wasn't the cat that got the cream'?
DTW, AKA 'the superior intellect who can't tell the difference between truth and lies' – or would just rather lie to make a point that wouldn't otherwise stand up.
' his alter-ego geeman ask for them'.
Now I do feel superior DTW. Not once have I expressed any desire to know the questions. But you lie and say I asked. Do you think I would feel inferior to someone who can't even tell the truth on an anonymous bb?
In fact I do tell the truth on this bb, always, and it's because I wouldn't want to be a hypocrite when I always tell off my kids if they get caught lying. In my view that'll always make me superior to you (– who seems to spend a lot of time thinking / mentioning how superior you are).
I remember this one from you: 2 Jan 2024 11:14; 'the majority of its investor roster has neither the money, the inclination nor the intellect to do the necessary research to fully understand the opportunity at AVCT'.
So for all your superior intellect and research the SP has gone from around 114p on Jan 2nd to 50p now. And you still crow about feeling 'superior', having lost 57% of what you had invested in January? Donald, if your wider friends knew how you've screwed up, what would they think of you?
'That's a real inferiority complex you have there Geeman'
I don't think so DTW; you've lost more money on AVCT than me (and your friends have lost more money than my friend) so in that sense I feel a little superior.
'So please don't assume that I am stating should not interact with SH. If course he should but this should be done in an open and transparent manner. '
Fully agree. The only reason to be in the telegram group is to have a certain advantage over other investors, a hotline.
To think that if a telegram group member who didn't get a question chosen for the 'Top Ten' by telegram peers wouldn't still ask through the webinar link (as I have done) is naive. They just think that they have a better chance of a direct answer (and other perks) through telegram.
'DTM - nothing under 'Avacta Investor discussion group' so I'll give it a miss.'
You're not welcome Saint, by the looks of the vague replies..
I reckon there's more of the real DT about DTW than DTW realises himself. I'm sure there'll be a few pangs of jealousy about a Donald Trump airport possibility. No doubt the thought of 'Donald Trump's Wig International Airport' has crossed DTW's superior mind.
I wonder whether his >117p friends would support an airport?
The Telegram group I mentioned was more weird than the LSE bb chat. Having said that if Wyn manages to get into the group that would be a dilemma.. Maybe wyn will copy and paste his telegram thoughts for us on LSE? :-)
(Packing this afternoon to go to Croatia tomorrow so no doubt catch up in a week or so. Hopefully there will be lots going on while I'm away.)
DTW, don’t worry on that score. I was on another group (Eve sleep) and could see people’s mobile phone numbers. I assume ‘your’ group is set up differently but I won’t be testing.
Not insecure at all Donald. Just wouldn't want to be a member!
But I notice you don't answer Saints question as I guess you like the exclusives in life. As an experiment I just searched telegram and can't see a group – unless it's Avacta Baby (with 2 members!)
'I find it very odd and even embarrassing that if you are correct a few people on a group have direct access to openly validate if questions can be asked and then what they are.'
First Strangy post I up-ticked.
'Do you have a link to the group please ?' – a question that's I've seen asked before but never answered..
Seems the Telegram group isn't for the Hoi polloi. I can visualise members preening themselves each morning (before remembering their losses so far).
If anyone could join – and at a cost of just 50p it would seem – what would be the point? It'd just be the same as here.
Anyway, who needs telegram when we have good old egalitarian LSE :-)
Maybe there's a spectrum of compliance and more kudos for the highest compliance standards (eg shifting 'going concern assessment' from date of a financial statement to *approval* date of the statement) :
KPMG:
https://assets.kpmg.com/content/dam/kpmg/in/pdf/2023/09/chapter-1-enhanced-requirements-proposed-for-going-concern-assessment.pdf
Key revisions proposed in ISA 570
The key revisions to ISA 570 are given below:
Management’s going concern assessment
Timeline over which management’s going concern assessment is being made
One of the significant changes proposed in ISA 570 is a change in the commencement date of the period of managements’ going concern assessment. Management is now required to perform a going concern assessment for a minimum period of
12 months from the date of approval of the financial statements. The current ISA 570 requires the management to perform a going concern assessment for a minimum period of 12 months from the date of financial statements.
Some jurisdictions globally4 have already adopted such a commencement date, accordingly, this change would aid to align the
global practice and thus abet comparability and consistency among jurisdictions. It would also benefit users of financial statements, as management’s going concern assessment would be based on more current information, and from a date when management and Those Charged With Governance (TCWG) have taken responsibility for the financial statements.
(CJ, why would you think that because I post half a dozen times on the AVCT bb I don't like Avacta? I didn't post for several days in the last week or so. Did that prove the opposite? Where have a criticised AVCT today?
Not that I know anything other than from googling, 12 months seems to cover 'going concern'.
I've mentioned I'd invested in Tiziana Life Sciences in the past. They went to the Nasdaq as that was the place to be. I just noticed this post regarding their spin-off, Accustem (which was heralded as being the owner of Stemprinter, the best test, by 30%, for a breast cancer indicator:
Poster BoNidel
'Accustem27 Mar 2024 21:19
“ As of December 31, 2023, our cash balance is $21,481 which is not adequate for our current planned level of operations, through at least April 2024.”
Taken from the recent 10K filed on 22nd March 2024 covering up to Dec 2023.'
I sure as hell hope that AS is better at monetising AVA6K than the people at TILS / ACCU were at monetising their 'best test'.
Tim,
Have you read the opening lines? You say factually correct. I'd be generous and say designed to create debate among posters with differing views of the landscape ahead.
'Doxirubicin is already approved. Today 08:29
Definitely has the hallmarks of the of mal-intent here.
Like others have stated, strange activiy from a few obsessives given the facts.'
CJ. Glad you agree with Touk that 'How is “doxirubicin (sic) is already approved “ news in any shape or form?'. Touk never said Dox is not approved. He wrote that it's not news that it's been approved (for donkey's years).
Ice (I think to Wyn): 'Why are you here posting, constantly talking about the past'.
This is not the quote I was looking for but it'll do:
'As Sydney J. Harris once said, “History repeats itself, but in such cunning disguise that we never detect the resemblance until the damage is done.” '
'And you can be part of this. For 49 p !' Sounds good Watching. Maybe I should follow your advice..
But then again, I just checked your posting history. Randomly looked back 6 weeks. How did this go for you?
