Why would you filter skid? For asking a question? Surely it would be better to answer him. Or if you can't and he is correct about the order book then reconsider your target. Just filtering those who question you beliefs will create a bubble for you. This can be dangerous for your wealth as you might miss something which is an issue for your investment.

I am talking more generally, if someone questions your belief it is much better to research and check you are right. That way your investment is more secure. If you check and find they have a point then act accordingly. That might be derisking it might just to be mindful of possible bumps in the road. Filtering those with a different opinion on a share or in life is generally not positive.

Sure, if they are just saying that this will go up or down with no reasoning, that's just noise. But that is not what skid is doing.

I try to get my timing right on my trading pot and sure, I sometimes share my thoughts on peaks and troughs. But know that I am generally wrong. Because it is a guess, no more. So giving advice on a guess is pretty dumb.

Far more important than that is where dgi might be next week, next month and next year. Thinking about that requires research and consideration. Your post is though less guesswork, probably with an agenda.

Don't do filters as who knows even folk like you might come up with something worth considering 😁

Seems the emergence of solid state and the new sodium battery plant by byd may well be opportunity rather than threat. I imagine that having the tech we are reliant on the management to do their thing.

I am planning on getting back in this week, hopefully just below my leaving price but will pay a premium if I have to.

Also BYD are a competitor to Tesla in fact to all EV manufacturers. So I guess Tesla etc all would rather not be reliant on BYD tech and having an alternative source for batteries would be desirable.

If sodium is the new thing the race to get a battery that can complete with lithium in terms of density and longevity ( how many cycles) is on!

Perhaps solid state sodium is the answer for static storage. Cheap, safe and long lasting.

The short term direction seems very positive indeed. Longer term was the worry for me with so many companies, including BYD in the race. But it seems (dodgy metaphor warning) rather than dgi being in the race they are the ones with the spikes which will give the advantage over trainers.

With a large holding already held a takeover by BYD or another manufacturer seems unlikely which is a good thing.

Imagine a deal with BYD licensing out the anode tech for their new factory 😲

Was reading that BYD are ready for production soon. However comments are around how many cycles and density. It seems that their battery might be suited to lower range cars and stationary storage.

Does anyone know if some of the tech in DGI could be used by BYD?

Billy has a point. This will be traded. I was planning on selling half of my holding at. 25 ish today. Unfortunately it hasn't had the legs. Not everyone can just buy on the dips. I am not planning to add to my investment fund for a while as not gor spare cash. Trading, if you get it right can build a decent holding over time.

Total W. Been looking further into the solid state battery and although they may well be the future not for a while, and, as you rightly mooted, cost of manufacturing is the issue alongside scalability.

I know we now have guys with decent credentials here now but would be good to get a manufacturer on board like vw. You can only hope.

Great contributions from tricky and skid. Informed each with a little bias but both understand they might be wrong. But so many posts of 5p, 6p blah blah and quick to put down any ideas contrary to their belief. I recall Niel being hounded until he bought in then he is a good chap.

That's how you lose money. Most of these small caps lose, that's a fact. But in the meantime plenty to be made on the swings.

Total W. Thanks for the response. To be fair I am mainly tugging Rick's chain. Got a large chunk in here with a small profit.

The point I was making is that there are hundreds of sure things if you believe these boards.

There is a real race to improve battery life and expense. If a battery lasts 300k with minimal loss that is a saving as the battery never needs to be replaced, indeed it could be sold on when the car is rusted out. Perhaps a combination of solid state and sodium will emerge. Perhaps a new better solution will make an appearance. Who knows. The point is that this is not a nobrainer as far as being the next EV Battery technology. However there is a really good chance of making a huge return on this share.

I have never spoken I'll of the "3 amigos" I just pointed out that the el grande has made bad decisions to add balance.

If this doesn't make me £10k this week I will be surprised. But I will be top slicing and banking profits as I have already once.

Next few months I would suggest that this has legs. Long term, who knows? Those that want to ignore balance and argument by filtering are welcome but I think it is foolish, many times I have argued with folk who think there are issues with a share, often I wished I had taken the views on board rather than just ignore and stick to my views.

I think you will find the solid state, no loss batteries already being trialled with a large car manufacturer is a real challenger.
