If and when EA becomes a viable, and economically sound transportation option; RR will likely be front and centre behind the propulsion. For me, it is a demonstration that RR are forward facing, and diversified company. They are tackling the next generation of the “green economy” head on.
It is very sad to see the labour force head-count reductions over COVID-19, the “why” seems debatable. However, this may sound brutal to those impacted, they did move fast to cut cost, and cash burn.
RR seems like a engineering, and tech company? They are involved in many interesting projects; EA, Nuclear Mini Reactors, propulsion, battery technology, engine tracking software and who knows what else.
If one of these technologies get the go ahead or becomes viable, it will price for an interesting future.
