To my ears it wasn't a great interview. But it was very much an interim effort so I'm not sure it matters too much.
What will be much more important will be the one he gives once hole 2 is finished and the RNS to go with that.
And then more grades information in due course.
If people don't want to go all in on the back of todays comms I totally agree with that, holding situation from last week no doubt.

Very much agree with Shorn here, it’s quite difficult to understand the potential shape and size of the porphyry with only 2d representations .
Anything like a 3D model or “ artists impression “ with a cutaway would be super useful- maybe a bit much to ask!
But currently we are groping around a bit trying to picture it ourselves, I am anyway and I have spent a long time trying .

More diagrams generally now would be great and I think it would drive investor understanding and thereby the share price

It could make a lot of sense for AA to get in early. Would it be fair to say they might have access to a lot of data and models that might not have been shared.

Whereas we and XTR are colouring in 25% of the picture they may be up to 40 or 50% by now as a crude example.

Likewise post the next 3 drills and the assays they might have a 90% view of the prospect vs our 50% and make an early offer....jam today for XTR shareholders rather than maybe a year 18 month for a full JORC valuation which might make it a lot more expensive for AA.

Only thing I would add is that the AA buyback clause is purely optional, AA don't have to buy it at fair value if they don't fancy it. Its protection for AA against XTR finding a whale and them not being able to participate - embarrassing.

Likewise they could make an offer for the strike or XTR at any point from now I they fancy it. the one question I have would be if AA carry that right forward should the field or XTR change ownership. that would be a problem for potential buyers until the find is verified - although I suppose prospective buyers wouldn't consider an approach unless that is done anyway.

Exciting that very unusually you get the feeling this share could go many times up - and based on actual discoveries not froth and ramp
Never any guarantees in life but I do feel that current holders are very well positioned, and if you sell for a quick profit you will miss out on the big prize gla

I think Monday could be interesting, if there is no early RNS it would mean probably the drill still turning with a good 200m + having been drilled since the RNS

if the xtr team is correct (and it’s the experts backing up the current assessment) and there’s a good drill width announced some time after that then it could really take off again dyor of course

could do with some 3d picture of what's known so far, quite hard to visualise

Cb did say That this week we would get the geologist update (received in that evening RNS) and then a drill 2 update probably Thursday so that’s today , so hoping that gets delivered to schedule .
I’m a bit moody about this share price tho .

nice interview with Joe Foster on that Kitco interview, seemd to talk a lot of sense. Was interested in his view that big gold miners had been foussing on sweating existing assets in recent year, but that he expects that to change to seeking out new prospects and M&A in the near future. Could bode well for M&A upswing in the next year which would be good news for XTR Galileo etc. Now is the time to position for that I suppose.

I do really hate to say this, but there have been occasions in the past when CB has been errr a bit over confident about results , lets say!
So just because he has said something doesn't mean its necessarily so and I think people have been scarred in the past and there is something of a credibility issue which i am sure is holding things back. I'm saying that as a LTH and I actually believe the evidence here is very strong for a very big discovery.

Another positive is the presence of the ex AA senior executive and this independent geologist who was brought in and has said very positive things are there. I'm sure CB is somewhat aware of this credibility issue which is why he brought them in.

CB is a bit of a wheeler dealer but TBH if he wasn't we wouldn't be sat with this great opportunity. Fingers crossed for a big fat wide cigar which we should get a sniff of in the next 2 days and should propel the share (wider market meltdown permitting)

my new figure is 761 total metres described out of a total opf 1050 m depth meaning 289 metres at the bottom not graded it looks like to me.

sorry my calcs on the decribed metres are wrong I think but still think there is a difference

I agree that those %s were not THAT good , but just want to go back to something NEWS said (great posts NEWs btw) about the fact that the documented copper grades do not add up to the total 905 mineralisation.

Is that because a lot of metres didn't exceed the 02% cut off, or , hopefully the case, there are a couple of fundred of metres at the bottom awaiting testing. From what I have understood and read that is where the higher grades are found in these type of pophoryic (?) systems.

Maybe someone has a definitive answer on this? will probably make quite a big difference.

My calc is 475m is described in the RNS leaving 430 metres either awaiting test results or below grade, wonder which one...

There’s no doubt the 111 million placing shares are still acting as a drag on the shares and will for a little while yet.
If we get nice results from the cross drill in a couple of days volume should increase and deal with a lot more of them.
Also until we know more about the gold it’s going to be very difficult to value the whole thing .

Though reading the Iceberg analysis, which I thought was brilliant , the shares are v v cheap at this price whichever one of his 4 scenarios you choose to pick .
Would love to see an update on his analysis in a week or two with much better updates on some of those variables.

The AA clause gives them the definite right to buy back at more than 2m t. We have no choice in that if we hit 2m t but of course at fair value that would presumably be a big number.
But they don’t have to buy it (eg other better projects on the horizon) . Likewise they could make an offer to buy back the property at any point even next week, just like any other company could.

I suppose it’s also a bit of an “egg on face” clause , AA wouldn’t want another major mining this to make billions if they sold it for a couple of million.

Doesn’t 300m sound like a long way to drill for a lateral result as it was only 110 on the vertical ?
Bit of me hopes that CB is leaving a bit of room to surprise the market and announce sometime on maybe Monday or Tuesday rather than Thursday , just a thought

A couple of things I gleaned from the Zak interview today :
They are drilling tonight - drilling across the cigar to establish width. That’s potentially 300m drilling over the weekend ? That would be enough to confirm a very large strike should it be continuous mineralisation. Wouldn’t want to be out of this over the weekend if that’s the case.

By the middle of next week it could be a 500 m lateral drill which may or may not confirm a monster.

By then of course we will have more expert independent estimate of the grades.

A very very exciting week coming up. Cb promised regular updates next week.

Just a thought : in the drilling RNS yesterday lord bird of bushranger did say that they would continue for 30 or 40m past the mineralised zone in case it restarted .

Can we safely assume this was done and no more mineralisation encountered ? Or is there a slim chance that it reconnected with ore and we might hear that tomorrow?

Probably the former I’m sure

This is a great raise at a critical time at a good price .

£5m buys us time which buys us a better negotiating position and the opportunity to fully prove up what looks like an amazing find.
A good price in the context of the last month.
Like most people here I’m pretty just peed off I didn’t get a chance to partake!

But this gives us the chance to achieve a much higher price in 8 months or whatever.
Would have been beautiful if Africa could have paid for it all but that’s a way off decent cash flow and that can now be ploughed back into maximising returns there.

V pleased with this and we can all buy in sub 5p this morning to maintain percentages should we wish. Fully funded and ready to go.
