as much as I want an update (and think its due as we have drilled for so long) its tempting to get a few more with no RNS
as has been pointed out, when it does come it must almost certainly be good to great news and a big step towards proving the scale of the find.
there is always the possibility of some unexpected bad news but surely that's a tiny chance unless the whole thing is a scam and I just don't feel that or believe it from the facts.

Big standoff between hope and uncertainty here now. Very small volume.
As much as I love the idea of the drill still turning and the prospect size find increasing by the minute , surely it is time for an update as this process has gone on far longer than expected, or did they all fall down the hole .

I think that by now it is time for an RNS. This thing is very materially bigger than expected if they are still drilling (which I suppose they must be)
so the nature of what they are finding right now is important to know, if its still good stuff (once again must assume it i or they would have stopped) it will materially change the valuation of this company. Very materially

first drill was finished on 22nd January, 4 weeks ago today
those assays on hold 1 might not be far away

yes CE drilling over the weekend gets us into blockbuster territory
tempted to add a few just before close today
hopefully get a few quid for the dog

material change or end of drill were the only reasons for an RNS
which means they are still drilling
which is good
no RNS needed
no RNS preferred
(unless they found Atlantis)

Likewise I feel that every day without the RNS has added value to this share . Underpinned a little bit more.
Had to go for another 100k at 5.54

It could all go wrong from here but I feel the odds are very much in favour of an overall great result from bushranger

Re holdings

I think he is ‘appy enough with the copper grades and was excited at 800m of h2 but xrf readings came out on the lower side when hole was done .

I don’t think it’s a major problem as the scale seems to be getting v big plus we have the gold to look forward to and there’s hints that this is gold/copper deposit rather than a copper/gold one

Anyway I will try not to think about the size of Colin’s deposit any more until an RNS, fingers crossed a couple more days away

Originally I also thought he said just that but I listened 2 or 3 times and he in fact said:

"Magnitude I've got no worries about whatsoever. Grade I'm not particularly worried ." bit of a different nuance and i think he's aware that CU grades will look a little low in hole 2 (still high enough) against some high expectations (maybe why no xrf on hole 2 this time?) but that the gold will make up for it (which can't really be read with the hand xrf)

Don't get me wrong, I'm super positive about XTR right now and on balance I think its a great investment at this price given what has already been established - as and when that gets much more fully proved up in the next few weeks the thing will undoubtedly fly, but with everything there is risk and given that the share is so widely held by PIs already (non herd) and very little institutional (given unfortunate history), this will only really get going once those more demanding investment hurdles are met (assays/gold) so that the big boy funds can invest safely .

We have a market cap of around £40 million, that's not insignificant.

We have one potentially very large find, unconfirmed by assay (especially with regards gold content) and very very minimal CURRENT income streams from other projects.

I have 7 mill of these and I'm not moaning because its Aim, its mining exploration and God love him, its Colin Bird.

Minus the herd and the spiking which could happen any time I suppose, I'm pretty content that we are sat at this level now.

All you are going to need now is patience to hit big (or lose it all if the assays come back blank)

Colin has been comparing our find to Boda or bigger a number of times - the Boda tonnage /grade is quite a bit in excess of the AA figures I believe , and quite oriented towards gold

yep that is a fair comment CE about the CB factor, been there a few times before haven't we!

But just have a hunch though that as this is genuinely a potentially very significant and valuable resource he will be making efforts to be consistent and on time as a lot of eyes are on him.

By nature he is a an optimistic person (guess you have to be one to be a mining explorer) and we all have that bias to say we will get something done more quickly than is actually likely , so you are right, pinch of salt on that timeline and expect it to vary by a couple of weeks or so.

As has been said a few times, it’s really about the assays now.
Given that cb predicted a full picture within 6 weeks one week ago, we are looking second half of March for the completion of the model.
Perhaps the assays from hole 1 within the next 2 weeks then?

That will be the big and exciting Unknown - the Gold content . The copper seems to be at a good level if it’s a very big deposit and it’s shaping to be that .

If we have that size confirmed by hole 3 plus Gold in any decent quantities from the assays then that’s when the fireworks really start.

For no one to be sure if hole 3 has even started after just having raised £5million for the drilling programme is not ideal.
The first material point might be when it hits mineralisation I suppose, really should get one for that
