//ps, found out today that Premier Miton, who run a few small/microcap funds and is run by Gervais Williams, has a position in MATD. He is highly regarded in this space and exactly the type of guy you want to seeing owning your stocks//.
Now, see... THAT'S newsworthy.
On the local naadam "Holding Time: July and August, and the festival usually lasts 3~7 days"
"Naadam" is Mongolian, meaning "entertainment, games", which expresses the joy of harvest. Naadam Festival is a traditional festival with a long history and plays an important role in the life of the Mongolian people. Traditional events of Nadam Fair mainly include wrestling, horse racing and archery. It is the best time to feel the bold and hospitality of the Mongolian and get a better understanding of the nomadic and grassland culture.
Type: Mongolian Traditional Festival, Grasslands, Minority Culture
Holding Time: July and August, and the festival usually lasts 3~7 days

However the issue only affects traders. My personal timeline is that I hope the matter will be signed off by end of September. If its earlier then that's fine too.
And when are the local authorities naadam?
My recollection last year was naadam went of for most of August so we'll have to wait and see if it affects the time line.
I hope you are right WOS
//Naadam has a long history in Mongolia. Today, it’s celebrated as the biggest and most important festival, WITH THE ENTIRE COUNTRY SHUTTING DOWN for two weeks as locals attend celebrations with friends and family during this time.//
//The dates for Naadam are always July 11 to July 15 – officially – with wrestling tournaments taking place across the countryside before the main festival in Ulaanbaatar and with horse races continuing throughout the summer in soums (villages) across the steppe.//

National naadam until 15th July. Local naadams take place at alternative times and Mongolians take 2 - 4 week holiday to attend them.
Ms VG I am perfectly happy thanks because Im not one of the ones who thought that the share price would rocket to 15p or that the land access issue would be sorted out "imminently" and then each week from January,.
Those who believed the endless ramping posts must have suffered weekly disappointment!! and will continue to suffer unless and until they get a realistic time frame in their head.
Ms Vikinglass I didn't ask anyone 'how long' if you read my post.
Some on here are suggesting it will be this week and Im suggesting it might not and giving reasons why it might not :)
Also you weren't around this time last year. I don't know if you were invested then, but naadam seemed to go on for ages. There is the state naadam and then lots of local ones. It is the national holiday season and Mongolians take two to four weeks holiday and travel home and to other local naadams.
Im not being negative, Im using experience from sitting and waiting all last year and the endless reasons for delays to inform me.
WOS you're an expert in the "wall of noise" style research and post, but youre not a details man are you ... and the devil is, as they say, in the detail.
The issue staring us in the face is how long is the time period of the final stage between grant and execution of the licence.
Even the Progressive report states "the with the land access issue appearing closer to resolution"
It also says "the company will now look to work with the central Land Agency and local authorities to complete the registration of the area. ASSUMING NO OTHER MAJOR ISSUES Petro Matad can move ahead with completing the Heron-1 discovery well as an pioneer producer and start generating cash flows"
Assumong no other major issues... A wise caveat where PM is comcerned!
Is the £1 party still on?
//Now that V1 result is out of the way. No more uncertainty left.//
Did I miss something?! Have we got the workover date booked in the diary then? Guaranteed this year?
Until then, there is uncertainty and no doubt volatility.
We need the date asap
We now need the certainty of the Heron workover dates.
And as for BP... he's the only poster that makes me laugh out loud. He's having so much fun winding some rather self important people up.
Can't we be a bit more mature than "multi bagger next week". Surely we're all a bit wiser than that now?
I prefer Thornogson's vision of being in a happy place by Christmas 2024, and expecting a rollercoaster in between.
That Rookie is THE question. No wonderland wishes and guesses but cold hard facts. Hopefully an RNS soon will confirm dates.
I think it wasn't the best example Mister P but the truth is I don't think any of us can hand on heart state we KNOW how long it will take. We all hope it will be sorted in time for drilling this year of course! (and I think it will).
I hope not that long!
