Nobody said the MRE will be further delayed.

Anybody who thinks delays can’t happen is stupid.

Our understandings may differ. My understanding is that the intention was caveatted by Mr. Day asking shareholders to understand there is a process, including peer review. Presumably Newmont also.

I don’t doubt the desire to get it out. But sense it’s not yet nailed on.

There’s a possibility of squeezing the MRE in, if the dark forces they talk of don’t get us before New Year!

And they’ll benefit from the divi too, with greater ongoing yield having bought low, and returns to shareholders being slowly helped by buy-back. Assuming we all don’t go to hell in a handcart, no DIY and building work required, dwhich hasn’t so far proved to be the case.

I think the blurb indicates they’re thinking longer term UK equity. Buying in anticipation of reversal whilst prices are depressed.

I think the market was first specifically advised of that work on 24th. October and took it in its stride.

Sell some, buy some, it’s the way it goes. They call it trading.

I think your first may be right, sometimes, in a general sense. I have seen more than a few recently dead people in my younger days also.

Maybe you’ve no experience of that. It makes you think.

To clarify, I say that because there has been a trend on here to anticipate the MRE prior to the AGM. You know that. It might happen, or not.

And if I’m right about calendar year, it’s a change of terminology, perhaps putting it late in the quarter.

Sensitivity? Mr. Day wants Newmont cooperation and agreement. They have shareholders too. Going it alone would be a poor second choice.

As an intention that was. I wouldn’t expect otherwise. And there’s still Newmont sensitivity to tread around.

Well, he mentioned calendar year last time out. We’ll see.

I believe FS is scheduled by September quarter, so if things remain on track there’ll be published decisions, information coming together during the summer months.

That should also better inform a Newmont decision, and allow them to indicate it, if still in the air as far as investors are concerned.

Simple logic is you’ll get what you get, when you get it, like it or not.

If you’ve any chance of the second, corporate events permitting, you’re more than likely to get the first.

I should clarify, in mentioning bank rate it was just where I could choose to put cash, that being mentioned in an earlier post.

There’s swings and roundabouts. Mixture of risk. As many, including me, have found here.

But I’m alright now, and will continue to follow Wyloo’s lead.

We see it differently and that’s OK. I take the view I am paid from profits. Of course, the yield you get depends on the price paid for the shares in the first place.
