I don’t know where that leaves them for future use. Just a thought, bit simplistic maybe, they could start a new one?

It’s reported as a ‘shared’ wall between 7 and 8. But I don’t know.

Unless something contrary to Mr. Palmer’s statements comes to light, they’ll get it sorted. On what I have read, they’re obliged to, sort of come what may.

The original bank loan( for 30% mining costs at 2mtpa ) is subject to FS criteria. Seems to me Ggp has reached a stage where if they are to do a substantial raise by whatever means, maybe including ASX listing ( I can’t think of a more opportune time ) they need the FS done smartish.

Newmont appear to have no beneficial reason not to finalise the FS, as I understand within the terms of the JV they bought into. Presumably, they can follow that up with the decision they have currently made - not to mine, if that suits them in financial terms. Unless anyone can say otherwise, I believe that will end the current JV.

Subject to a positive feasibility study and Decision to Mine, Havieron is intended to leverage the existing Telfer infrastructure and processing plant. Access to Telfer would de-risk the development and reduces capital expenditure.

I am not so sure the processing of ore at Telfer is hard wired into the JV., unless somebody can publish that part of the JV. It is expressed, on what I have seen, as an intention between Newcrest and Ggp, as is the question of final tolling fees at around 10%. And when does the current JV end? At the conclusion of ‘early works’? Feasibility study and DTM?

It would not make sense, on current planning, to divorce Telfer from Hav - so perhaps that’s more ‘technical’ consideration than ‘practical’ and access to Telfer forms part of negotiations.

The project is, in due course, about cash in exchange for gold ( and copper ) The shops I use require my cash.

It pays to keep your eye on basics. It’s all about the cash.

Droverman reckons the Ggp board will swing it. Newmont have one too.

The ball’s in Ggp’s court. They can stick or negotiate with Newmont, up to them, in consultation with other parties.

They will come up with the best they can for the Hav project.

It appears Newmont may in due course be casting about for copper opportunities fitting their own criteria.

Cornford’s expertise. He ignores Telfer, and simply points out obvious matters, that nobody knows what the Feasibility Study will amount to, nor how Ggp will go about funding the Havieron acquisition, becoming accretive at some later date, that people on here are asking for. What he says has long been of potential impact on holders.

Of course, nobody wants to be diluted.
