Septembers Results will indeed be interesting, because unlike many that have been making statements, based on guess work it seems, to be fair CLIN seem to have resisted making much of a statement regarding expectations due to covid scenario, whilst many will simply see pharma and assume the sector as a whole should be doing good because of money poured in for covid related things, CLIN does have a much more broad business model, and with certain patent protections ending and generic versions of to products becoming available, exactly where the results will fall in the good to bad scale is going to make for interesting reading.
Personally, i think they will be ok, perhaps not stella, but certainly better than a number of companies lately.

The stop loss thing is an interesting scenario, I know that when limit sells/stop losses are in place, those shares can't be loaned out for shorting purposes, but i'm not sure if the MMs will know where those limits are placed, that would require the data to be divulged by the brokers, and i'm not sure if that's allowed.

this really is way too volatile for a share that thinks it's worth £10+

40+ p swing in the first hour this morning on no news at all, and that's before any further movement is factored in for the day...... this is so unstable it's ridiculous

you're speculating that an offer like £10 per share would do it for a buy out... i'd take that in a heartbeat!

sorry, forgot to say, as for many not paying a dividend, there are still those that are, off the top of my head TATE,SLA,CTO,LGEN,SSE

I suspect they would try to pay something, problem is that for the period of lockdown/furlow etc they are not allowed to give shareholders anything if they accepted government support.

as for safer bet than many, perhaps, but as a share that could recover its price, i'm not so convinced, i think the recovery to any sensible level is going to be long and troublesome, and with no dividend even slower

Lets see what they do dividend wise come the AGM in september, if they don't declare something, i have a feeling a lot of shares will suddenly become less sticky shall we say, and people will not want to hold non-returning shares long term, i know i wont, no dividend and break even and i'm gone.

this and the fact its a dawn to dusk curfew not a lockdown, makes no sense to me whatsoever, it's like they are trying to do something, but don't want the backlash from cancelling a protest to avoid gathering of people.... o they only lockdown at night - that wont make any difference, and then in the daytime lots will go protesting.... not affecting workers is a purely economical thing.

MMs are many things, short of PREM shares is NEVER going to be one of them

I understand the leaching of the soil heaps, because there can be hidden fines that can add up to a good haul that the old timers didn't mine, but, the rest of it in todays RNS seems to be us prospecting on the fringes of old worked over land, which if i'm reading those results right, is not that great

I was in the same boat as you, and last week bought at 0.0971 to avg down substantially, as it turned out, had i waited just a little more i'd have got the .095 i was after, and that would have made a difference in my current avg of about 10% of it.

0.095 seems to be a point of support, if it goes below that, i don't know where it will go, but for what it's worth, that would be a good point if you can get it.

yup... the market also like dividends, any whiff of them not reinstating after the forced suspension, and this will either tank or never recover, seeing that happen a lot with other shares that killed their dividend before all this even started, and now are not recovering at all

.... until they either go bust/pvt or increase by 400%...... then maybe i'll pay more attention, till then these piddly little rises are a drop in the ocean, and only a fraction of the single hit drops GR issues every time his snout hits the bottom of the trough and he prints some more confetti

without having access to level 2 order book info, i can't say with that insight, but, yes, it does appear as though the 50p mark is a point of support/resistance to further falls.

That said, as i posted previously, i would not be surprised to see a momentary knee jerk drop of up to 10% when the results are released.

I think that .40 initial target is sensible for all the reasons stated, without being overly optimistic, but it does need the BOD to promote it properly, and then deliver data timely and in transparent terms

Like i said i have a limit buy set, and would not be surprised if we saw a monetary knee jerk drop of anything upto 10% followed by a swift bounce back to about these levels, followed by a hesitant rise, as said, public will be going back to transport more and more

you could be right moonman, however i see a good upside from that possible low point, and have a limit buy in place, which i doubt will trigger before wednesday, and then only if the market judges the results harshly, given that a good number of companies are going to be reporting less than idea results

that's a worrying question.

have to admit i am somewhat disappointed at the inability to sustain some of the rise and now we are just drifting back down. this time i will topup around the 1p mark so at the next flash in the pan i'll be out
