dividend is due for payment today, is there a standard timing for these payments, or is it simply by the end of the trading day ?

thank you, that was pretty much the conclusion i cam e to, didn't want to sell too early, and todays activity is pretty much what i expected to see on the day before ex-divi date.

http://www.dividenddata.co.uk/ this is labouring like a fat kid in the 400m sprint on school sports day, it's not looking like it'll get anywhere near where we were before the brexit vote, and there is nothing that drastic in the results published that could explain it's failure to climb back a little of that drop, i'ts currently floundering around at it's IPO price, which is poor, and the dividend whilst ok, with the figures they have i was hoping for announcement of a bi-annual divi

looks like H&L screwed up, they get their data from look.com, and on there it says the 15th for ex-div date also, 3 of the 4 places i've looked say €0.63 and one says 0.46 for the divi amount

did this go ex-dividend today ?? Hargreaves Lansdown page says it was scheduled to, but they usually also put it up next to the share price too on the date, and they haven't today

can someone explain that one in laymans terms please :)

as it stands they are pushing twice yearly dividends, can anyone see them scrapping that in favour of a once a year plan, to free up more cash for them to buy back a lot more shares, and do a single dividend over a pound ?

at the rate they're buying back shares, will there be anything left for a dividend ?? !

yeah, i know what you mean, i was looking at this one mainly with the mid-long term in mind, and the dividend as well, now i have the funds, but am seriously doubting this option now

curious regarding the dividend vs share buy back scheme. Trying to work out if i want to invest in this one, but having been watching it for a while, i think i'll need to invest more than i usually do in a single share, to make it worth while, i am slightly kicking myself, because i know when it was in a slump, i didn't have the funds to invest, and now it's recovered to a point where i would have had a nice cushion, so now i'm back to the stage of trying to work out a good entry price, which given the current political climate...... a task which seems considerably harder !!

ok, i got my exit price..... running for the hills with a 20% profit, time to go top up on RMG

seems to have flushed it, nice little rising chart slapped down !! looks like i miss-judged the top of this one, i was hoping for close to or at 260, oh well, some you win, some.....!!

...out of that last options conversion under the company incentive plan (latest RNS).... nice chunk of change there for him, for a period when the share price has been in the toilet, he picks up how much for free ?

thanks, still seems to be a bit of a sluggish response form the market, initial climb i saw was about 102 up, but has now fallen back a bit, so it's obviously not sparking too much interest yet, hopefully when they've had time to digest it then it'll pick up more convincingly

results on a par with expectations, and upcoming full year results expected to be track with forecasts/plans. On top of that, what seems to have been a steady solid christmas period with profits up, let see how the market reacts this time!
