ab121 - I think the guesses on US and UK rates are the US will lower by 25 bp and the UK will stay the same I believe. But who knows. Don's trade war is dampening things down. I can't think he will keep the pressure on tariffs up coming to the election though.

More gubbins Even if they had Spain was not in the EU then - and how long do you think they could have blockaded it for that year ? Spain has historically depended very heavily on agriculture compared to other European countries - and there was a huge migration away from agriculture to the cities going from the 50s and 60's onwards which led to reduction in labour intensive farming and small farms - Have you not seen all the little abandoned places dotted all over in Spain ?
hooky - no - because the rate of EU immigration to the UK has fallen drastically while month on month employment figures in the EU have risen month on month. It is good to see you are thinking logically on the subject however.

'bout time.
Lloyds Banking Group says it is the largest digital bank in the UK, with more than 15 million customers managing their accounts online and nine million on mobile.

Didn't compare Nato and EU - they are completely different in their roles. both are useful in keeping stability.
Youth employment ? That is a change in subject now. EU average youth employment is falling - it was 14,2 % in April - ours was 10,2:%, - we are 14th in the table. Hardly a generation lost in that difference.
Question is would it be worse or better without the EU ? You have said you're happy to be poorer through Brexit many times - Poorer means fewer jobs so you don't seem too bothered then.
Nope I thought you would be clueless as well. Try googling "how to distinguish fact from fantasy".
TFE will be back soon with more research from Wetherspoons for you and you can update him on the deadhead's viewpoint. Enjoy the sun while it lasts. Think I will too.
While you are fact checking - it might be worth checking your one about your favourite metal's price moving opposite ways to the market consistently for the last 100 years. That's a myth. For the last 50 years its moved in the same direction for just over half the time. Its pretty random in other words. Might save you some money.
Poor old you The FarEnd - how embarrassingly clueless you are.
1. The Euro is not used by all EU members, and the list I gave are all examples of common economic interest, There are many more. Pretending otherwise is ludicrous. The Euro on the other hand is not even used by all EU. countries. Daaah
2. Trade continuing after Brexit does not mean it is not a common interest or that there is no common interest in making sure it is efficient and beneficial to all sides. Just trading is not the target - trading so your country prospers is.
3. Still no examples of how the EU has been the cause of misery from you. Because there are none. I have seen far more of European countries than most, having worked at different times there starting in 1978 and having travelled extensively in all kinds of areas since then.
4. No one disputed NATO's role and it has already been mentioned.
5. Yes NATO and the EU are interwoven, they are mainly the same countries.
Daaaaaah

Its worth catching up on some of the latest archaeology and research on Orkney if you haven't. I am sure you may be aware though. A different place to Shetland of course but also Viking'd out. It seems around 5000 years ago, long before Noggin the Nog, it might well have been the most influential centre of what's now the British isles, with styles of pottery and religion originating there. Huge temples etc. Happiest place in the British Isles now they say and some keen for independence from all the UK.
Must visit the place. Spain Italy Scotland and Orkney in the course of the next 2 years I think for me and France for a bit of skiing. Further afield after. Your life in Umbria sounds just as good however as the Uk is turning kerazy. It is not just freshwater prawns ingesting cocaine from the water supply if you ask me. Hope your weekend is going well.
Mr Johnson tries not to say too much at the moment. He must feel like an elephant trying to burglarise a china shop. When he does he shows he is still completely oblivious to any actual facts on the subject of Brexit. It's obvious he doesn't want a no deal despite his campaign slogans. Funny thing being, he was always more of a remainer than a brexiteer anyway. He just wanted to be PM. His story about a solution to the Irish border question is obviously just made up and he has no expectation of that coming about. So he will likely try to fudge a deal, which is unlikely to work. That leaves him with bodging through and hanging on to power, the only point of the exercise in his view.
As for Rees Mogg he has rather blown his carefully crafted scholarly British historian by producing probably the worst book in the last 100 years on Victorian Britain. His grasp of the current day geo politics and economics seems about as good.
This is going to be fascinating watching. I am off the popcorn personally but I might have some quinoa or pork pie and branston.
What's up Calisto?
I haven't read your posts.. I normally try to avoid it.. whst have you said this time? Boris's 10 billion tax give away to the better off is not a bribe ? ... let me chevk what you are referring to and I'll get back to you.
Look at Boris and he's worse, look at Corbyn and he's worse. Illusion?
Nope strangely both are worse than each other, a simple illusion due to having the worst leaders the country has had since 1066.
It's a cheaper way to reward staff than cash and they would pay staff zero if they could. But they can't or they'd be bust. Wages and payroll tax .. big outgoings .. best to do it as chesply as possible. Share schemes one way.
You are becoming more and more childish. Playground insults and counting upticks again for what ? In an attempt to defend a post saying the EU control LSE admin? Do think they read your posts and ring up and complain. You can't post sensibly is the issue.. rambling off topic and resorting to insults when its pointed out. As I have said before the people who uptick your posts would uptick a suggestion to lick the pavement and all that's on it if their tiny minds thought it justified brexit.
I support Corbyn as little as I do Johnson. If either of them becomes prime minister it wil be a worse mess. As for the rest of your post it says a lot about you again. No wonder you get such silly posts and worse removed. And you blame it on 1984 and the EU. Lololll.. try posting like an adult.
