Other than 1 day (Dec 5th), volumes have been less than 1% per day for the last 3 months.
And volume only exceeded 1% 3x (each time less than 2%) in the 3 months before that, and once in the 6 months before that.
So, only 5 days of greater than 1% daily volume in a year.

I think it is disingenuous to suggest that brokers are trying to dump placing shares to instigate a rise given the volumes seen, and MM's have zero say in how trades are printed.

Another 3 late reported trades showing today, 2 from yesterday and one from earlier today.

LSE shows the Bid/Ask at 34.00 / 35.00 at the time each trade was executed (either side of each executed trade time.
Logic from the information available suggests 2 Buys (at 35.00) and a Sell (at 34.375)

Since these were reported, the Bid has risen to 35.50, but the Ask has not changed, increasing the spread.

Any rise welcome when it comes to AIM, but good news does not always mean more news is on its way.

Personally, not convinced that the news today necessarily means that blockbuster news is imminent.
Happy to be wrong though.

Have been around AIM long enough to know that reading one thing from something else is not always the case.
Taking one positive and extrapolating to reach another positive conclusion has caught many investors out.

Not meant as a deramp, just caution.
Good volume today. Will be looking for more of the same over a sustained period to see that the tide is maybe tuning here.

I'm interested to see the thought process behind these late reported trades and why they could be buys/sells .
The 400k trade was late reported from yesterday. Similar time to the other 2 trades (from memory) and all at or above the Ask at the time (again from memory).
So surely this suggests the likelihood that they are Buys?

You originally said buys and gave a similar reason, so why do you say now that the 400k trade is a sell? You seem pretty certain

I am trying to show the logic behind my thinking, albeit I am unable to access the relevant bid/ask detail from the execution time yesterday to reference back to my conclusion and to double check, so it would be useful for someone who thinks otherwise to advise why these appear to them to be sells.

Happy to be persuaded otherwise, but simply stating they are sells without giving any reasons seems unhelpful, especially when a posting history shows the poster is always negative here (not you).

From memory, both the 150k and 250k trades reported late yesterday were executed at or above the Ask price at the point of execution.
Bid/Ask was 34.00/35.00 from what I recall at the time of execution (I don't have L2 access)
The 400 k was also executed above the Ask at the point of execution yesterday (similar time to the other 2 trades?).

So, I would say they were all most likely buy trades.
I do not have L2 access so am unable to view back to see what was happening around the point of execution yesterday, so perhaps someone with L2 may be able to jump in here.

Why do you think they are (all) sells?
I would be interested to hear your thoughts/logic rather than just 'lolling' and talking about insiders. Some information to back up tour opinion would be useful.

Volumes pretty low.
Sizes of the trades doesn't really suggest that there was a great deal of offloading going on.
If insiders are dumping that suggests there is bad news being kept from the market and material news cannot be withheld. Again, volumes do not seem to back this up.
The release was clarification and deemed relevant news for a release which resulted in a small rise today. So not a nothing RNS.

From what I can see, by far the largest trade of the day is a late reported 'unknown' trade from 15:31 of 150k shares which was executed at the price of the Ask at the time of execution, suggesting it was a Buy.
A pretty even match between buys and sells over the day, based on the indicators shown (which of course may not be accurate but volumes are so small it doesn't really matter, imo).

Personally, my view is different to what you are suggesting, but happy to disagree on your points and others will have their own views too.
Nothing announced today has changed my view on my holding here, or has any trading activity.

If you had been with Angus since pre-Brockham, and watched the SFB progress from the initial exciting announcement and start with the Shell offtake agreement, right through the whole delayed (circa 2 years) process based on original forecasts, with costs circa 10x original estimates, you would be suspicious of anything the board proposes too!

Certainly not wishing a lower price for entry, and the board originally advised side track would start in July (per 10/6 RNS) with many here predicting production well before now, so not the quick progress many watching here were letting others believe would be seen.

Anyway, not interested in getting into any argument, just dropped in to see progress out of curiosity.
Will leave the board well alone, sensible investors are more than capable of making their own investment decisions and should not listen to what I or anyone else has to say in any case.
I am not and never have been a fast buck trader and won't be jumping in here or anywhere else due to FOMO.

Not visited the board for a while, so thought I would have a look in here on a quiet Sunday to see how things were going with the side track.

The same usual slow pace for ANGS, it seems, and not the super quick job for producing that many were forecasting back in the summer along with 5p to 10p SP predictions.
Management still not really managing expectations vs reality, it seems.

Hopefully, it will not be a long wait for investors.
Can't believe that this is still sitting under 2p as things stand though, certainly an opportunity at current prices if all comes good.
No spare funds for me at present, but will keep an eye out here over the coming weeks in case I get a chance to release some funds ahead of side track results.
It would only be a quick trade for me, but will stay cautious having been caught out here in the past though and waiting more than 3 years to turn a profit.

Some time in Jan/Q1 a realistic timeframe for any news of success?

It is 4 months for year end results to be published.

The timeframes were extended to 6 months (year end) and 4 months (half year) during covid.

Rules reverted back to normal effective for reporting periods ending on or after 28 June 2022.

It is a 3 month deadline from period end to release half year results.
Plenty of time to still publish within the required timeframe.
Nothing to get excited about.

The direction of a trade is just an indicator only.
It is never reported to the market at execution whether it is a buy or a sell.
It is just a 'trade'.
Sites like this use algos and the bid/offer to make a best efforts basis guesstimate as to the direction at the time of execution.
Really not worth getting worried about. It is not MM games as some like to suggest, it is just shown for information.

Personally, I am only really interested in any individual large trades, or regular trades of similar size and actual traded volume.
Caveat: One PI's idea of what constitutes a 'large' trade will vary to another PI's idea of what is a large trade.

I don't know any serious investor who looks at the buy/sell indicator as a serious tool .
It is an indicator only and is well known not to be accurate.
It is the tiny volumes that are the problem. Less than 0.2% of shares in issue traded today

I thought it was interesting listening to the talk before too, it helped to add context to the projects and the Lithium scene in general.

Very low volumes.
While the RNS was very good, and the webinar will introduce CTL to new investors, it is still a long-term play.

In the current climate, investors are looking for short term returns, so expect fluctuations here in the short term.
I expect to see plenty of buying opportunities over the next 6 months or so at current SP levels, or lower.

Just the nature of markets currently, imo.

This board was quite pleasant for a while.
Number of posts had reduced and there was less random chat and conspiracy theory posts.
That has all changed in the last 2 days.

I am all for balance on these boards. Positive and negative posts as long as they are reasoned should be welcomed.
The clear and obvious trolls have been filtered, and in the interests of balance, I am now filtering Jambone and Markeurasia. Both as bad as each other and 2-a-penny on these boards with their posts.

I will continue to look in, but only interested in news here now, the petty squabbling is of no interest to me.

It is a MiFID II directive (Europe-wide) that ALL European markets follow to 'Trade Report' all trades at point of execution (some subject to delayed reporting).
Nothing whatsoever to do with it being MM's 'waepon of choice' or not wanting to 'update the system' whatever that is supposed to mean, and nothing anyone can do to change or improve the system as they are bound by the reporting requirements.
The MM's have nothing to do with the algo's reporting sites use to try to try and determine the direction of any trade, it is only a best efforts basis, all they do is report trades within the directed timeframes

Watch the volume rather than the individual trades. Small trades are irrelevant in any case (imo).

I can never understand why PI's get so excited about this; larger investors have zero interest in trade direction, it is only ever an indication which should not be taken as any basis for decision making
