£5k down here.
My biggest single (paper) loss since I started investing (UKOG comes close though).
I stayed when Rita took over as I thought she was the right person, but have recently felt that only a takeover/Sale of the company would recoup any losses (but not turn a profit).

Investors often buy in situations like this expecting a bounce, but it is a big risk. Not for me

I can only see a sale here now, any other solution will mean years of waiting for any recovery.
Potential for some to make something with a trade, but not putting any more in here.

The initial 50p buy in my ISA has no chance of being seen again, but my lower non-ISA holding could see getting most back if lucky.
My decision to invest, no one to blame but myself.

Good job my new strategy for 2023 is to take profits when on offer, not get greedy, and reduce my small cap exposure.
Not every stock will be a winner, but this was riskier than most.

I do not believe that Institutions will be buying here.
And they certainly will not be trading this stock if they were.

They are simply not allowed to do this (churning), and the mcap is far too small for anyone of any significance to be interested.
Some specialist small cap sector funds may be having a look, but fund and client mandate restrictions will likely prevent much activity in shares like this.
Not saying there aren't any invested, but it is all suggestion and implication to say they are in this and trading, as the majority simply will not be permitted to buy due to mcap, liquidity requirements.

Too small to be worth worrying about, imo at less than 15m shares

Pretty much 10 days of decent volumes here now.
A couple of days slightly lower, but around the 30m mark is pretty useful to help move the SP.
No price predictions for me still, but will look to slice at some point.

Not for me, but good opportunities for trading here.
But just be careful of trying to use charts to time any trade as things move fast (both up and down) and especially if unexpected news lands.
Charts have their place, but not on small cap stocks like this. Just imo

Can't disagree with any of the comments made here of late.
An exciting project and plenty to look forward to in addition to the good news already seen.

Having said that, I have taken some profits here today.
Part of my new strategy for 2023 to lock in gains. +60% here at present and have sold half my position.

Conflicted, but being more disciplined with my portfolio and still have a position so will benefit from any further gains.
If this does drop back, I will look to add again, but will not be wishing for that to happen.

Correct legalese.
It is the responsibility of the holder (or their custodian) to report the change to the company, and then the company to announce it.
And the obsession with GL not buying shares in the open market by JH is a bit rich given holders were asking Sanderson to do this for more than 5 years.
As I posted the other day, the time for GL to buy shares in the open market was when he took over as CEO, or at the outset with SFB. Perhaps during the long period of delays, or the big (12m) fund raise.
It is totally irrelevant now and would have minimal impact on the SP.
Red herring and an easy stick to beat ANGS and GL with, imo

A nice rise back again into close. Anything over 1.90 will be an excellent result and represent a +75% rise in 3 days.

Decent rise again so far today on higher than average volumes.
Hopefully, Friday was the start of a a sustained run of decent volume days here.
Will be keeping an eye out for late reported trades.

Are the higher volumes a sign of news on the way, or folk getting FOMO due to the (largely) unexplained rises?

Fair point notready1, which I alluded to in my post regarding them being an indication (for me) based on potential scenarios that the bod see as possible, and as such are a useful indicator of potential.

Perhaps incorrectly, but I tend to view options and warrants as pretty similar when it comes to looking at potential timelines, impact and price action, hence my use of warrants in my comment (I do usually write options/warrants).

Per the news release, Grover has been granted 5 million warrants over Quantum's shares, exercisable at 5 pence per share before October 31.

Happy to disagree on how much to read into this, but it (options/warrants) is not something I would necessarily use as a criteria when basing any investment decisions. As stated, dates and prices can be extended changed, etc.

I will certainly not be complaining if any or all are exercised in the timeframes stated, like everyone else I suspect.
Always hopeful, but pragmatic too.

If Lucan was to buy shares in the open market it should have been long before SF started producing.
He should have been buying back in 2019 when he first took over and the SFB purchase was announced, or when the CPR was released in early 2020.
At this juncture GL buying is irrelevant, imo, it is all about the side track in the short term, and the planning appeal at Balcombe.
Angus is producing and generating cash.
Eyes will also be on the EOY results in March and the potential for a share buyback and/or dividend which the bod has advised is on the agenda for 2023

No predictions from me as so many unknowns and history/experience on other shares suggest it could be a wide range when it comes to possibilities.
The reality is often at the lows of the expectations of the majority, but there are always exceptions.

Personally, I think some are reading too much into the warrants and the exercise price and dates as a guide to potential timeframes and prices, much like too much credence is often given to analyst SP targets when for small cap shares it is generally only the house broker who has any coverage, and is always going to suggest a higher SP as it is in their interests to do so.
Warrants are a useful indication as they suggest what the bod see as possible value based on certain situations, but I will sit tight and await firm news rather than speculation around them. Exercise dates, prices can be extended, changed, and often are so an indicator only, imo.

Not meant as a negative post, just a conservative view based on past experiences elsewhere.
No two shares are the same and others will view the position here differently and make their own investment decisions accordingly (hopefully, rather than basing decisions on what others say).

This is an exciting play. I am not overstretched here and can comfortably wait for whatever happens here and however long that takes.
We have been seeing the 'big news due this week/next week' posts for many months now, but the appointments and recent news does suggest something could be on the horizon sooner rather than later and as has been seen here before the SP can and does move quickly.

Hopefully, the proposed measures will be in place prior to these dates in order to mitigate any shut downs due to temperature issues. From an IQ asked on 30/12:

Some selective insulation and trace heating is in place and all methanol injection ports (there are five in total) are functioning. Certain areas of the plant are also naturally sheltered and have innately generated heat. However, even given all these measures, the cold snap did show up gaps in our winterisation programme. It reached -11 degC which is close on a local record at the site and we were particularly vulnerable from non-weather related shutdowns slowly become temperature events as the plant cools down. Normally we can restart within an hour but on several occasions during the cold snap it took us several hours to restart after a trip, with each passing hour throwing up a new temperature related problem. We are installing additional trace heating in early January. That said, it is in fact easier to achieve gas quality specification in cold rather than hot weather.

2 days of a flying SP and volumes considerably higher than average and not seen for more than 6 weeks.

Surprised that we have not seen a monitoring extension RNS, or a statement from the company on the SP move.

Not complaining, we are long due a movement here, but there must be more to this than sentiment or general market conditions?

Just looking back through news and IQ's, we should expect a new CPR and a comprehensive update on all assets before the end of Q1, as well as any updates on SFB.
