Small piece on Tin mining with mention of Cornish Metals and British tin mining.

What exactly are we basing this 2p minimum on?
Is it just a useful round number, or is there something tangible that warrants this figure?

I bought back in at 70 on Wednesday, so of course it was going to drop further!
Granted, the drop today is down to wider market conditions as a result of U.S. news overnight spilling over to Asia, Europe and UK markets so one of those things.

27 of my holdings are down currently today, the other 3 show flat.
Yes, we are to expect a drop here while we wait for news, that ALWAYS happens here and with other AIM stocks doing similar, but it won't stop the usual crowd from using the drop to suggest something more sinister going on here.

U.S. markets were down overnight, Asian markets are down, as are European markets and all UK markets.
What we do know is that until news, this is likely to drift on not very much.
Nothing has changed in terms of progress.
I will continue to stick by my conservative (vs the majority) SP targets here and fully expect there to be no further delays to those already seen - first week of April

I was going to leave replying until tomorrow (at 72 hours) but, no, no reply after 48 hours and just an auto acknowledgement from my submission which was literally a blank email - not even an automated signature.

Tbh, not at all surprised, it is very typical of these small cap shares not to reply to queries and I am not inclined to 'phone as this has historically proved pointless too.

I have been pretty supportive and relaxed about the situation here for the last few years, but the lack of updates to their own website on project status, etc is really disappointing (more so than the lack of replies to shareholder queries). I confess that I have not visited the website for a while and it is a bit of a shock in all honesty just how far behind we are currently compared to their own targets on multiple projects.
Any investor using the company website for research must come away scratching their head and wondering what is going on.

All that aside, it is still about delivery. I will keep a watching (and holding) brief for now are review actual performance vs expectation (my own) at the end of this year.
At present, I expect the SP to be at a higher level by then assuming anticipated progress is achieved (and notified to the market!)

Seems we are where we are at currently until we get news on at least the following:

Confirmed production figures for Jan-March 2023 and how this fares vs guidance - not sure how soon after Quarter end we will see this.
Conclusion of the Battery Minerals deal - on 22/2 we were informed the deal should be completed in the coming weeks.

I would hope that positive news on both of these will be seen within the next 5 weeks (plus any other good news) would see the SP move up into a new price range with a good chunk of market uncertainty being removed.
Surely these 2 pieces of news should at least see this move back up into the 40's?

As someone else has posted, I am not sure the market has had the proper time to digest the results yet.
I feel we will finish marginally up on the end of day, level at worst.
Small movements up and down not unexpected, all part of how markets operate so not worth reading too much into them, imo

My cheeky 70p re-entry order did not get filled today.
Disappointing as there were 3 Buy trades reported at this price, all executed after I placed my order (2 larger in size - 1 reported after close, 1 smaller).
It was not a large order, so not a biggie, perhaps still time for another sub-70 dip before news.

Not really large volumes though, imo.
The highest daily volume in the last 13 trading days (including today) has been circa 7.5m shares which equates to just 0.75% of shares in issue.
The days when we have seen larger volumes are generally more than 3x this (7.5m) level and today we are not even half of that.
At the current levels, the MM's surely do not need to go looking for shares which makes the SP move today all the more strange.
Something cannot have been leaked, or the volume would be much higher.

It's coming up to 7 weeks since the initial RNS (19/01) where they told us they would provide an update 'in due course'.
The follow up wind-down RNS of 26/01 gave no real clues as to what the possibilities were in terms of 'extracting value'.

Of course, as with most company statements, the noted timeline is open to a fairly wide interpretation, but it is disappointing nonetheless not to have heard any more.
I appreciate that these discussions, etc are not always quick, especially if there are several options, or parties involved, but something must be for coming soon?

I feel it is a good price at these levels.
My average is higher (24.5) and I have been tempted to add more for a while now, but am overweight in this stock and having recently been burned elsewhere, I just cannot take the risk of increasing my position in small cap shares at this time.
My choice and not complaining, just a change in my risk appetite preventing me from averaging down.
Happy with my holding and work is progressing to time/budget (so far) which is a big plus.

Again, there is no real evidence that 'this morning everyone was buying'.
Still only 37 reported trades, still only a little more than £33k in value.
Current volume is a miniscule 0.2% of shares in issue and is on target to be no different to the last 12 trading days (i.e. no change to the recent trend).

Yes, someone could have placed multiple orders, but the largest reported trade to date is worth just £3k in value (200,033 shares).
At these levels there really is little point speculating. No one knows the reason, it is pure guesswork, imo.

I will just be happy for the SP to be at a higher level prior to any good news landing, than doing so from a lower level, although we will no doubt see unexplained SP movements in both directions until that happens - will the charts be calling all of these, I suspect not.
Happy to be proved wrong with news and other tangible signs (e.g. increased volume, large orders, multiple similar-sized trades).

Allowing for the 15 minute delay, there are currently 33 reported trades, totalling less than £33k in vaule.
There is absolutely nothing so far to suggest that traders are buying into QBT this morning, let alone bailing from another stock to do so.

Further to my comment below, I have sent the company a lengthy (constructive and polite) email to the IR address on their website.

I will not post the full detail here, as I feel it is unfair to do so without them having a chance to comment, but it centres around slow communication in general, why they have still not announced Italy, and why their website is out of date - the last references to Italy and Deeside are from September 2022 and we have had at least 2 relevant updates to both since then (I have not looked at other projects on the website as it is likely a similar scenario).

I feel 48 hours to be a reasonable timeframe for a reply if they take the interests of their shareholders seriously.

It just shows that some good can come from being on these boards.

As you will see from the various responses, it is perhaps not as straightforward as it seems as to the best course of action to take, especially as we are not privy to the full information (and nor would anyone expect you to post this on a public BB) and different scenarios give rise to different possibilities.

Hopefully you have enough information to consider a best course of action, but it would perhaps be best to take this information and seek professional advice too before making any decision as it will be a bit of a minefield for anyone not familiar with making decisions like this.

Really disappointing that EQT have not released any confirmation on this.
Yes, they could be waiting on the results of the biochar quality, but I am sure many would prefer the confirmation and a comment that this additional check was being made and results would be notified in due course, as well as any news on the heat supply possibilities and any refunding arrangements (which will likely take longer).

Given the Deeside situation, you would think the company would be keen to shout about these important wins at the earliest opportunity (as required by listing rules).
Worth pointing out that the company website is still saying Italy is expected to complete commissioning and become fully operational before the end of 2022.

It seems from your list (to me anyway) that Greece, Croatia, Nortfork and France are where will will see the most progression over the next 12-18 months with the problems seen in the UK for financing, etc.
I am ok with this, and this is where I expect to see progression and news flow

Let's see what news is released with regard to BMEC in the next 4-6 weeks as funding/financing arrangements seem to be proving a difficult hurdle to overcome, especially in the current economic climate.
Will we be left hanging until the last minute on this?
Communications certainly need to improve and be more transparent (imo).

I have not seen anything from the company to confirm that Italy is now revenue earning.
Have I missed something?

The only updates I see state:
(22/12 RNS) 'an expected commercial operations date ("COD") of the Plant in early 2023', and
(06/02) 'the Company completed construction and started final commissioning toward commercial operation of its Italy MDC. The Company expects full operation of the plant imminently and already has prospective, strategic partners and investors scheduling visits to the plant'.

Why has the company not released anything (that I can see) to confirm Italy is in full operation?
Please can you provide any links in case I have missed this as at present it seems to be speculation only.
Has there been news released elsewhere?
