but..correct. History tells us all about what happens where political decisions are involved. Hence my absence of naivity/ trust and surfeit of cynicism. T and T need the tax-dosh. One hand gives...other takes away. We’ll see.

Same promises last year. Same person in charge. Such a lucrative tax that it’d have to incentivise one helluva lot of extra production to tinker more than mildly with it. A new profit -related tax might be a compromise. Like Russia did last year. I too don’t expect any giveaways to the oil industry.Reform has many avenues. I was right that they woukdn’t honour their publicised promise last year. Happy to be wrong but very cynical as something equally punitive may take its place. Budget was very agressively anti-oil majors and minors last year. My take. Ultimately.....no idea.

$73.5. Like it. No pullback yet. Highest since Nov. 2014 when it fell from $130 to $26 in Jan2016. Trin sells at discount of around $4-5 but that’s still better than H1 ave. of $60...only $6.6 above SPT threshold so they paid the price in profit H1 as we saw.A healthy ave. of around $66-70 H2 will make huge difference..especially with new wells and production increase. A long time until H2 results but Q3 results maybe November. Either way target broker prices working on consevative $62-3 at 34-38p targets. Brokers’ targets are supposed to be within 6 months. I’m not sure about that but we’ll see. Next 2 sets of results should be very healthy especially if oil continues its march or even stays here. CLN departure means no enforced hedging so more profit. Budget in a week will be interesting but not holding breath for stupendous reform. Tax is lucrative for govt. promises or not. 18p still a giveaway !

People with large investments who liquidate portions do so for all sorts of short-term reasons. Especially if they hold large number of shares. It’s not selling the house. Sometimes money needs to become liquid. Just like I sold 200,000 shares last week for personal family needs. Still leaves me plenty and I have no intention of selling remainder. Before the Refinancing I was RNS’d for selling a few that took me below threshold at the pre-dilution time. Drop in ocean. No reason why it’s a sign of more sells. I’d be far more worried if I saw a mass exodus of ii’s or even large clued-on p/i’s. This is normal business activity and should not agitate any investor who knows why they are invested here.

It is only a small portion of the holder's shareholding.They are not liquidating their stock. L and G and Threadneedle liquidated their whole stock in Trin on July 2015 (well before refinancing) as they had index thresholds not met. That caused trin to drop 15p to 5p in one day.
Holders sell portions randomly for all sorts of reasons. Particularly private investors. Institutions are different.
yes as you say rossanan 0.5% is genuinely neither here nor there . been loads og big sellers this week. And big buyers too.
TBH with the expansion on the horizon 18.5p is still a steal ...p/i or institution. Just look at the Cenkos report ....all 30 lovely pages of it. Shining analysis.38p target price. risked and unrisked NAV prices even higher. Sellers should just sell if they are nervous.or they can look at reality. Ultimately it's DYOR and MYOMU.

Still quite a few sellers to clear yet. Trinity is still as decent an investment as any you will find so it’s a case of letting it all clear. Buyers bit thin on ground so share is wavering but that’s normal. All the b******s being posted about it on boards won’t change reality. I’m a bit taken aback by the wrongness and silliness of some of the things said...but....wake up smell coffee dude I guess.

I think so to. Market shake out to get rid of easy sellers. Fair enough. People can do what they want. I didn't like the false accountancy either. ieven the media got it wrong.....I even sent copies to Trin. Complete fudge. Which the market took advantage of. And people panic. i don't blame them for doing what they do. Up to them. I don't like people forcing fear on people though...or rubbing noses in after selling. I am one of two of the longest holders here.....and Hinkais was right. was and still is a steal. Chatboards are often inaccurate and personal and IMO should be supportive whilst directing others to the places to research for themselves. people selling are fine....just shouldn't moan after.People giving false info should know their stuff. and caveat emptor means we shouldn't take it as fact anyway.

I think so too. and the roadshows which trin are doing until friday. Article was an abbreviated version of cenkos really. Nowhere near as detailed but more accessible to the public. Thanks for posting it.

Disagree with your figures and interpretation fully ....but you've sold out so it doesn't matter now does it. Perhaps it woul'dve been kinder to us not to have told us holders and questionned our holding? because you have departed . Especially as all the oil media and brokers seem to disagree with you?

Trin has become an MM traders’ share. Can’t revalue nor settle nor rise as long as such. Is being played as money is being made by mm’s . So it’s a case of buy if you can or just leave it. It won’t go back up until traders’ games are complete.
