Looks like today might be the biggest volume day for quite some time. And no-one is commenting here. I'm assuming we're all just sat there in total shock.
I worry about you Levi. If the seller is gone then what will you post about?
work at a multi £bn company in this very area. If they make the right moves this could be a very profitable business.
Do you have a URL for the site? I can't seem to see it on the google listnings.
I'm interested here but I can't seem to find enough info yet for me to invest. The general strategy interests me a lot though. Is there website for this PLC anywhere that anyone knows about?
The next operational update should shed some light on the situation I guess. Reading the PSC details always depresses me. egpc take a massive cut of the profits. We're doing brilliantly considering. If they took a little less we'd be flying.
"takeover 100% with two suitors!
35-40p imo"
That's not true, is it? As stated in the RNS
"Accordingly, there can be no certainty that an offer will be made"
I found it
x Production Bonuses: when reaching certain rates of oil production, the following
amounts (which are not cost recoverable) must be paid:
Production Rate
(bopd)
Bonus
(US$ MM)
3,000 0.5
5,000 1.0
10,000 1.5
25,000 2.0

Whats the total eygyptian production now? Not just Net to UOG? Don't we (the operators) have to pay a bonus to the egypt oil co when we hit 10k and then 20k production. I can't remember the amounts but 1.5m and 2.5m rings a bell.
I just hope they bring the luck they bought to TCP and JOG when they had similar sized holdings.
They were in JOG at 60p befofe it highs of 300p. Still 164p
They invested in TXP at 12p. Now 162p.
They sold down their positions eventually but at a substantially higher price in both cases. If its the same people then they have an eye for a good investment.
Yes TTL. That post by O2B about reddit was disappointing. Even when I'm in a share I dont want to see misleading information with the purpose of ramping a share. Its dishonest. I wont be paying much attention to any of their posts in future.
These are my thoughts. Firstly I'd like to note that this is my theory but I have no evidence for it. It could be totally wrong.
Our numbers aren't big enough to interest the really big investors to put large amounts of money in and there's not enough talk of a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow to get PI's foaming at the mouth. Companies that make a decent but not massive profit year on year seem to all be the same. We would either need a lot of people heavily pumping the stock via twitter etc.. or we're just going to tick up very slowly as more wells come online.
If we can get a farm-out partner for Jamacia then the SP will move up a notch. Even then I think it will need the first well in Jamacia to hit before the SP really rockets. At that point, the big boys will take note and PI's will start thinking this is their retirement ticket. Until then I sadly can't see anything changing. Maybe a few more wells and gas in Italy might push us to 5 or possibly 6p if we're lucky.
It was the same with TXP. It doubled from its floating price to around 16p quite quickly and then just sat there. They were producing around 2k barrels a day for almost 2 years. No-one wanted to know in general. It only really started to shift when they drilled and tested their first well in the Ortoire block in T&T which is their pot of gold. Since then it's gone from 16p to 160p as people could see they were not just dreaming when they gave the figures for their T&T surveys. They had an advantage on UOG that they weren't having their 2k barrels coming from a country that takes a big amount of any oil earnings.
Egypt is brilliant for me. I feel safe in UOG as a profit-making oiler. I don't expect my investment to move much until Jamacia does something though. That's what needs to happen.
UOG is by far my biggest holding. I'd love for it to shoot off but there's no point in being unrealistic and asking why it isn't 20p already.
You're right Lewy. I'll give it a rest. I think I've got a bee in by bonet from when I came on here and told people not to invest because I think the company is a joke. It was around when it was in the 6p area and everyone told me I didn't have a clue and called me a muppet because it just kept rising at the time. I should and will get over it and move on.
Wow. Those massive contracts are really rolling in. Here's some highlights from todays RNS
"certain areas of its U.K. division".
So a 1 office pilot then
"Although the pilot is not expected to generate substantial revenues for the Company".
Just like every other contract CTEA have.
This just adds weight to my theory that the "major UK mobile operator" contract is minuscule. If they announce this in a separate RNS but the MAJOR mobile operator only gets 1 small bullet point in the placing RNS
I wouldn't want to be in this share then the audited results come out.
"...if you're CrizNathamMo hoping this went to 2p or less but now has to pay 2.3p for his £50 position."
I wasn't hoping for 2p or less. I knew it would be 2p or less soon. Not that I'll be buying any. Stick that broken record on again about big contracts again.
Ahhh, good old DShox. Still trying to put a positive spin on this poopshow of a company. You must be massively underwater. The placing we all knew that was coming with another 2 contracts but no figures against them. 1 for 18 pharmacies but it doesn't say if they will all use this. If they did. How many people work in a pharmacy, 3 or 4 maybe?
And the best one, the major mobile provider. No staffing numbers or cash value provided. If it was a major company with 100's or 1000's of employees they would surely have stated a figure? So it's probably a POC in one of their offices.
How is that game-changing joint venture going? The government have tested millions and millions of people now. How many of those have involved any cash going to CTEA. Have they even announced a single customer through this JV?
Don't worry though, Afrik ID is going great guns. An RNS will land soon with an extension to the also game changing operation over there. How many months has that been going now without anything produced? The South African government clearly aren't interested in tracking who has HIV or any other non highly infectious disease so you can all get that one out of your head.
In the meantime Shox, you and all the other rampers can keep putting 2 and 2 together to make 9 week after week. Post a link to a news article about a gov tender or some large company saying they're going to use a passport and say "maybe this is us". New flash. It's not, it never will be.
Levi. I get why your frustrated but before now I could see why this wouldn't move much. If there's people selling large amounts it would keep it down but it has to come to an end at some point. The more UOG keeps hitting its goals, the more people will jump on board and the pressure builds on the sellers running out of shares to sell. If Jamacia looks like it might happen at any point then this will fly into double figures quickly.
This is all just my opinion.
You're rather hostile aren't you craigy?
Maybe I will get burned Dave. I've just not seen any numbers to back up thr market cap and it makes me suspicious.
