George Frangeskides, Exec-Chair at Alba Mineral Resources, discusses grades at the Clogau Gold Mine. Watch the full video here.
Good morning Zoros,
Yes I happened to mention the article by lahora yesterday as it didn't seem to be something that was being discussed here. Although for clarity, I only stumbled across it as a poster on the advfn board had kindly posted a link in discussion. The article from lahora was only posted yesterday and was in Spanish which is why I assume it had not been picked up on here.
Indeed, sizeable drop at the opening. Disappointing. Best of luck all.
Afternoon all,
Has anyone else seen the front page article of the website 'lahora' today? It appears that a significant vote by Ecuador's constitutional court is about to be taken on the future of mining in the country. The article mentions Santiago Yepez in commentary on the upcoming vote.
As always, please do your own research and form your own opinions. Best of luck to all.

Hi BNC,
I wasn't planning on making any further posts as I was a bit surprised and disappointed by the reaction I received earlier today. However, I wanted to make an exception just to say thank you for your reply to my original questions. It was this kind of reasoned and informed analysis I was hoping to have with all LTH's and I appreciate you've taken the time to write it.
I hope you have a nice evening and have the best of luck with your investment in solg.
Cosmic.
Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'm quite astonished at the scepticism of the board to any new posters who try and engage in debate. Is it any wonder you have so few new members joining when this is the reaction they receive? Regardless, I wont post again as I'm not interested in fuelling any paranoia some LTH may have.
All the best to everyone.
Thanks for the welcome dreamboatwarrior. As I mentioned in my first post, whilst I've been an investor since 2017 and have been reading this board since then, I've only recently joined as there were some questions I felt LTH's on here could help with. Your posts have been great over the last few years so please keep it up!
I agree that us retail investors will be the last to know about M&A activity. In your opinion do you think Newcrest will make a move once their stand still agreement finishes this year?
Thanks for the advice on the filter button as well. Whilst I've just joined the board I am well aware of how it can be derailed with silly posts (anyone remember how the board became after MRE1 and we drifted down to the low 20's)? Anyway, thanks for your reply and all the best.

I think agree with you on this point. Although I do understand why Nick hasn't explicitly done so as he presumably wants to avoid encouraging a low ball offer for the company. I also keep trying to reassure myself that both BHP's buy in and the director options are well above where we currently are and hopefully this gives a yardstick of where the share price should be.
If you read my message you'll see that I said I've been an investor since 2017, not that I joined at that time. I've only joined today as there were some questions I wanted to ask all LTH's.
Hi All,
First time poster but long time lurked here. I've been invested in solgold since 2017 and have followed with great interest the trials and tribulations of the company. I've also been reading this board pretty avidly ever since I've joined and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all long term holders for their extremely useful contributions which has personally helped me immensely (padmaster, BNC, goldenveg, cookie, DG1, pinot et al {not an exhaustive list and please excuse me if I have left anyone out} ).
Since the PEA came out I am very surprised by the drift downward. All analyst reports that I could see were positive and interestingly the ones solgold retweeted indicated that the PEA was a strong sign that a takeout would now be imminent. So for all long term holders, I have a few questions:
1) In your opinion, why are we are currently seeing the drift down from BHP's buy in price of 45p? My own feelings are that NM's comments on going to production have scared off a lot of potential new investors as they are worried of the timelines involved;
2) What on earth is going on with Cornerstone? It's really interesting that we've had no further news on this since the intention to proceed with an offer was made. So what do you guys think? Will an offer still be made?
3) Solgold moving to production. This is the most pressing issue for me and its extremely difficult to interpret whether or not Nick is serious about this. On the one hand, I don't really believe solgold is capable of bringing it into production with the timeline Nick has stated (next 4-5 years)? Surely if this were solgold's intention then they would be going through a frantic recruitment drive in the 100's to start the process for this. And if this were the case, why bother drilling at the other regional targets? Why bother making the offer to cornerstone?
4) Timelines for this year- what are your predictions for solgold this year? I am still very hopeful that BHP will make a move but I cant really fathom what is delaying them on making an offer. What are your opinions on M&A activity happening for solgold?
5) What would be the tipping point that would cause you to sell? I got in after MRE2 came out at 28p, so I'm in profit nicely but I am disappointed the share price has dipped below 40p. The idea of a capital raise worries me and I wonder if this would cause any other LTH's to look at other investment opportunities?
Thanks for all your help and lets hope that NM is going to make us all rich sooner rather than later!
