I know all of that, but it's normally been on a Thursday (3 of last 5 years) or a Tuesday (2 of last 5). And the sequence for the last two years is Thurs 13th, Thurs 12th...so this being a leap year with a two day adjustment suggests that Thurs 10th is likely, or possibly even Thurs 17th with Tues 15th as an outlier. Friday is bad news day, you don't want results released on a Friday.

But if it's not been announced then you can't say "it WILL be" because you don't know that, only it MIGHT be, or it is likely to be mid October, around the 10th to 17th. I also discussed this with someone else last month about the date not being on the website, it's because it's a non-regulatory announcement and EZJ normally only put the regulatory dates on there. So we won't know until it is actually released.

That's rather precise for something that hasn't been publicly announced yet, unless I've missed it, or unless you're on the inside ;o)

Next quarter for re-dom. We need to wait for an update on where they are with the process – they previously indicated Oct-Nov to complete, if the court hearing goes ahead in October.

There's not been enough volume. c.5% swings like that in one go are very often due to a change of fund manager (see note 11 for the management structure in place with Capital). I wold happily wager someone else's money that there will be another TR-1 soon showing who took over a fund that Capital lost. Maybe :/

Interesting line added to today's RNS regarding the Q3 dividend:

"Shareholders should confirm with their brokers to verify their ownership status on August 30, 2024."

Not seen that before and may be in response to previous points about the correct XD date in the UK made on here, or by shareholders contacting them directly seeking clarification? There is still not a clear consensus across UK data services, but it should all be fine if you're in Canada or USA.

For balance, to be fair to the Board it is not their job to educate shareholders on stock market regulations, and they are not authorised to offer investment advice. I posted a link before to Tharisa's dividend declaration form which shows how it could be done for absolute clarity, hopefully PTAL will consider that approach for future quarters.

And they still need to update the dividend table on their website...

Gino - it's a known long standing problem with Halifax (and iWeb, also owned by the Lloyds Banking Group). Appears that they don't want the hassle of dealing with the tax implications.

Yes, you can try to claim it on your tax return. If you are resident in the UK then you should be entitled to the 10% relief under the DT treaty. It's then up to HMRC to decide whether to honour it.

Gino73 - the dividend announcement from PTAL:

"A cash dividend of USD$0.015 per common share has been declared to be paid in Q3 2024."

Kat-079's calculation is correct. PTAL report their finances, and pay dividends, in USD. But they are incorporated in Canada so 25% withholding tax would normally apply. Completing the relevant form with some (although not all) UK brokers allows the WHT to be reduced to 15% per the Canada/UK double taxation treaty. Latius' broker has not done that initially so have hit them with the full 25% for now (and they have noted that IG are likely to correct that soon).

Can't see her touching stamp on share purchases, not after recently celebrating the new FCA listing rules which were primarily designed to help keep the London Stock Exchange competitive with other global markets, and attractive as a place to do business and raise capital.

UK stamp already one of the highest in the main markets - see attached article from Peel Hunt which makes some very good observations, comparison table with other markets about third to half way down.

AGM currently taking place and the last three years they have issued their 20 week TU to mid August in the morning so it can be discussed. Nothing today and their investor's calendar is hopelessly out of date. Expected next week?

Ignore Google charts for low volume companies like this. Google always works on the price of the last trade reported rather than mid price, except only when it adjusts to previous day's closing price the following morning.

So official closing price yesterday was 1.40p (mid point of spread) and the single trade today at 1.30p is therefore shown as a 7% drop from that. The things to pay attention to here, if you need to, are the actual prices paid and the volume - intraday charts are rarely a reliable guide.

And it's now officially staying in the FTSE 100, at least until Christmas week (ho-ho- ... too soon???):

What's your source for "8 months", I haven't seen that in any official announcement? They have been talking to Total about many things for a lot longer than that, doesn't mean they were talking about this specific deal for that long, unless you have a source for that I haven't seen? Thanks.

So LSEG did update their values overnight (phew) and EZJ are safe in position 105.

Berenberg had someone asking a couple of question on today's webcast, looks like they are generally happy. Overall first impression for me was optimistic with lots of opportunity (partic. USA after increasing headcount), vs a few known headwinds they explained quite well. Guidance unchanged is good and nice with the margin improvement in H1 as they flagged before that might come under pressure from the potential project mix.
