If it's a 'transfer' of shares at a pre-agreed price being processed by an intermediary then shouldn't affect the market share price, other than perhaps later from wider trading on sentiment once (if) the nature of the deal becomes apparent.

Two sides to every trade though and only seeing one side so far. May see two separate delayed reports later with the individual totals (45,761,083 for TB, 19,654,779 for FAB per 1st March holdings) for the other side of whatever the deal is.

Some guessing around the above process so don't birch me if I'm wrong.

I posted about the dates back on 17th Sept. The sequence in recent years has been:

You have to go back 6 years the last time it was on a Friday and that was in Sept so not even in line. Most companies follow preferred DAYS of the week for updates, not preferred DATES. I also posted that Friday is bad news day for RNS, you normally don't want results released on a Friday.

I'm not saying it won't be Friday or Monday but the overwhelming logic and probability is for tomorrow or next Tuesday.

Me too, it looks like their Ad generator has run amok since last week. I had to engage Adblock Plus to stop it but does mean cancelling the pop up every time I open a link, but that's the lesser of two evils!

No hanging around from the Board there. LAT shares expired at the weekend and now applied to change listing, which they had previously indicated they would do by the year end. Any later than tomorrow and it would have missed the cut-off for the December FTSE rebalance and rolled over to next March.

Needs approval by the FCA but that should be straight forward and notified by early November. Will then be eligible for the FTSE 250 in the next rebalance, which takes effect from 23rd December.

Taverham - that thread no longer exists, you may have replied on a thread started by a P&D troll that spammed across the boards yesterday and that has since had it's profile deleted?

I think because the AN IPO has been trailed for a while now there is no new surprise today to bump the JD SP. There is also some commentary around £500m perhaps being too high so need to see what they finally settle on later this month, and / or whether it holds its price after admission.

They are also saying no new shares to be issued so need to see where the free float will come from out of the existing holders? There will normally be lock-in periods for this kind of launch so need to see that detail as well, as JD may not be able to realise too much initially, unclear at this stage.

Minor detail - JD sold 0.64% in Feb so now holding 31.36%, and its carrying value in the last y/e accounts was £33.2m so need to take that into account against any potential gains they might make.

tl;dr - need to wait for the actual IPO details later this month to confirm the position.

Update on the GTE trade price discrepancy, just for info.

Most of the trades going through London are marked as 'XOFF' which then show on the GTE page on here as OTC (Over the counter) in the information button, and they are priced on the exchange in USD. OTC are normally trades done privately away from the exchange but still need to be reported in for transparency. Possibly the two parties to the trade agreed to do it in USD, perhaps to save FX costs/spread, and so that is how they are reported to the exchange (see my link at 12.02 today) - I'm not sure?

On this site, they appear to then be running an FX conversion at the time of the trade and reporting it as a GBP 'equivalent', hence why they are $6+ on the exchange and then showing sub £5 on here. But if you look back to 26/9 (link below here) the top trade is not marked OTC, it's just 'Ordinary' and on the exchange page you can see it is marked as 'XLON' and priced as GBX. It shows on here at the same price 585p:

So the quoted prices within a spread today of 580-620p look like the correct GBP prices for trades done through your broker. That's a substantial premium to what they would be if it had been a simple FX applied to the USD equivalent, likely due to the low liquidity on London at this time. Obviously those prices would become a lot more volatile if the deal passes and the new shares are admitted.

It's maybe because AMX is the top one on their list? If you type Gran Ti in the Quote box it should bring up the other options there as well.

Last year it was the 10th. Until recently their website stated 15th *tbc so that's maybe where Trading View got their date from and not yet updated.

Stas20 - on ii, if I enter GTE into the Find & Invest button I get 6 options and the bottom one is GTE LSE. Clicking on that gives a trade page with LSE spread quoted as 580-620. I was then able to get a dummy quote at '600p' but didn't carry it through to see if it would actually be accepted.

Curiously, the London Stock Exchange page at top left shows Price (GBX) which is their standard notation for GBP for most UK shares. Now scroll down to the Recent trades list and you can see they are all stated as USD at prices around $6.+ which is more in line with the US listing.

Those same USD trades appear on the GTE page on this website as FX converted to GBP at sub £5 prices (the discrepancy shown in ZaZo73's post earlier). So its not clear yet where the problem lies but it's either somewhere within the data feeds, or the GBP prices are ridiculously high even after the FX conversion?

Agree 4.798p max remains. Need to see how much the Total deal will bring in from next year, should contribute to a possible four payments if it completes in Q1 as indicated.
