Second small GBP trade now gone through and immediately dropped the Bid to 422. Quoted 525 to buy small amounts.

Looks like at least one broker maybe now crediting accounts, or paper certificates have been received?

First GBP trade on GTE for several weeks has just gone through at 451.50p. Spread was 500-520 until last Friday but the Bid dropped to 450 on Monday, likely in anticipation of folk offloading when their broker gets round to allocating the new shares. US/TSX equivalents are around 495p after FX.

Unless I have missed it somewhere, there should have been a statement at the very top of that RNS making it clear of anything, or nothing that had changed from last week's RNS as a result of the conclusion of the audit. It should not be necessary to go through it line by line to find out!

Issued as a Reach announcement and this website appears to have stopped carrying the Reach feed.

ONT have historically used either RNS or Reach for news like this but neither for this one. They rarely include any financial information though, so perhaps no visibility on materiality at this stage and left it as a press release via their website. (For info - LSE.co.uk appear to have stopped carrying the Reach feed recently so wouldn't appear here anyway).

Could be an early start on that, likely a fair bit of shuffling around over the next couple of months and then settle into the 12m trading update in January.

Another 2x100k just gone through at 15:18. I always thought with trades like the 2x75k and 2x100k timed to the same second would be showing both sides of the same trade, rather than two separate trades?

'Daily Business' is just one of many low key media websites scrapping data to generate advertising clicks. The market isn't going to react to a poorly worded article from them.

The sales, profit and dividend numbers are projections only and the key words there are "should" and "expected" but perhaps presented in a misleading way as not factual. They have no more official info than the rest of us, although the analysts they are quoting should hopefully be good at, um, analysing!

Novo would likely have filled their initial investment in August at around 5.3% total, you think they are increasing beyond that? Another 7m or so shares would need the next TR-1.

Yeah, there’s going to be overhead supply at various levels that needs to be turned over, plus folk selling into strength. There’s a fairly clear downtrend that seems to be keeping a lid on the daily moves at the moment, probably needs significant news to break it. The FTSE 250 in December not always the driving force folk expect it to be (should be a change of listing RNS on Wednesday next week).

Keep an eye on the slightly wonky H&S that’s formed though (if you follow that kind of thing) – neckline at 137 needs to hold IMO.

Also the whole AIM market got a lift yesterday due to the IHT changes not being as bad as feared, many of those who sold out recently came back in as a result. Market took advantage of that and inflated a lot of prices quickly, some profit taking from that then followed and into this morning as the dust settles...

Yeah, the section from the chancellor's speech was:

"For our world-leading creative industries we will legislate to provide additional tax relief for visual effect costs in TV and film and we are providing £25m for the North East Combined Authority which they plan to use to remediate the Crown Works Studio site in Sunderland creating 8,000 new jobs."

But it's really just confirming what was already announced in the previous statement back in March (see my post on 6th March on page 2 here). The Crown Works announcement appears to be new though.

The tax relief on visual effects perhaps not likely to directly benefit ADF?, but if it attracts more work to the UK then it should be an indirect benefit. The Crown Studio remediation I would hope would provide a more direct benefit to ADF.

It's the standard wording issued by the stock exchange for this kind of activity, but yes it looks weird given what else is going on. The announcement it refers to was issued immediately after that by GTE, via Global Newswire, that confirms what we already expected from the previous timetable:

"An application was made for the suspension of admission to trading in i3 Energy Shares on the London Stock Exchange's AIM Market ("AIM") and such suspension has taken effect from 7.30 a.m. today. The cancellation of the admission to trading of the i3 Energy Shares on AIM has been applied for and is expected to take place by 8.00 a.m. on 1 November 2024. The delisting of the i3 Energy Shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange has been applied for and is expected to take place at the close of markets on 1 November 2024."

So the cancellation part is still in the "applied for" stage as far as the stock exchange is concerned, therefore "temporary suspension" until complete tomorrow.

It was issued at 7am but it's just a Reach press release rather than a full RNS. This LSE website doesn't carry the Reach data feed so it will never appear in the RNS link above.

No problem Tom, always good to test my own thinking as well and put it up for others to challenge if need be.

Just a reminder that Google finance always works on a 'last trade value reported' basis, within 5 minute intervals during the day, so they often show these after bell trade reports as if they were the closing price, although that's technically not what they are displaying. Google don't show the actual closing price (UT) until the following morning, which you can see by the dotted line on their chart each day.

So they are showing 465 at the moment for today's 'end' rather than the correct 460 closing price because of that.

The 16:38 trades are all marked OTC - Over The Counter. Similar to the SI trades we discussed last week, those are private deals done away from the main market (broadly speaking) which still need to be reported in for transparency. The time stamp I think will be when the trade report was printed. Due to their size they may be able to apply the late reporting rules to help maintain an orderly market.

Again like the SI trades you are seeing both sides of the trade there, buy and sell, rather than two separate trades in each pair. The very slight variation in the trade price works out at exactly 0.05% on each pair which is likely the commission on the deal, and has been a common feature at that exact rate on similar trades on here for several months.

The larger late reported trades that show after that are all SIs and may even still include Aberdeen offloading, possibly? Getting a better price than they got screwed for last week if it is.

They should not, in themselves, have any measurable impact on open tomorrow as the market knows what they are and will generally 'ignore' them for pricing.

All just a rough guide and happy to be corrected on anything I've mis-spooked about :)
