hah I see a lot of filtered messages, how interesting that the people most negative on the MATD, clearly not interested in it (judging by their past comments) and often using ridiculous, made up arguments (reason why they are filtered) to talk it down are also the most active contributors :D :D have you guys got nothing else to do?
it's true that everything is moving slower than people would hope for (myself included), but also:
1. It is only March, MATD has secured rigs in April in the 2019 drilling campaign
2. MATD has done two successful drilling campaigns in 2018 and 2019
3. We do not need rig for Heron 1 and it's a straight forward well completion operation, Heron 2/3 will most likely be pushed to late Q3 imo
4. Petrochina has recently changed their President for Mongolian's operations (as per latest interview) so hopefully we will get the specific agreement next update
5.potential agreement with DQE that could see more wells this year with later payment, DQE is clearly interested so I see this deal happening
so I think you are all moaning too early.... let's see where we are in May
most of the energy companies are down today, it was not all just the interview... although agreed quite a full order book does not sound good.... market does not like uncertainty, I have personally topped up today - be greedy when others are fearful etc.... gl all matadors
Well why people sell at 3.6 after being at almost 5 few weeks ago without very likely JV and Brent at $120 is beyond me, yes we don’t have a rig yet (in 2019 they got it in April so plenty of time) and we are very close to producing oil from Heron 1, meanwhile JOG did 50% in a week on no news and no production in sight… funny market! I hope sentiment here will change if MB is confident and upbeat in todays interview, some details about the potential JV would be nice
Probably next week? What are the expectations? Probably nothing blockbuster but the production has increased since Q3 so at least a break even with good future forecasts? Also one would think they won’t hedge new (increased production) or at least hedge it higher….
Yeah it’s unbelievable, I don’t think it’s about negative past sentiment about COPL either, for example PREM has been the biggest piece of s*** on AIM and still goes up, anyone knows how much production have we got hedged? It won’t be 100% surely especially when volume increased in the past few months ?
Well I certainly judged this one wrong, 1.5Bn barrels on 55mil mcap, more than 100% of company traded since the discovery announcement, 300 trades every day, oil up, big director purchase …. And I’m -12%… something stinks here with those endless sells
Yeah I thought so too, oil price is still up and copl has operations safely in the US, this share has crazy volumes vs mcap as well no idea where are all the sell coming from, there must be a lot of traders and newbies + remaining placing overhang
