BG has always been the darling of the city. They like it and it will soon be back above £12. Am also into Rockhopper, thats another thrill of a ride. Purely speculative, but good fun all the same. Am currently 30k down on what I'd have, had I stayed in lloyds, but who cares? It's only money :)

That was my strategy too, but I peaked too soon...............hahaha. Am also in the Bank of Ireland, wow, you need nerves of steel for that ride. Think Lloyds will rally further after their trading update, then retrace a lot after the election, no matter who gets in. Just hope Q1 for BG is good, it should be. However, I still want to get back into Lloy long term.

My strategy was to increase the number off Lloyds shares I held. As Lloy was hanging around 64p for nearly a month, I thought I'd sell up and try and make additional percentage in a different stock, then get back into Lloy. If I could read the tea leaves, I should be selling Lloy now and getting into BG. Trouble is, I dont want to miss the Lloy boat, if there is one, as I've been in it for over a year. Didn't have the bottle to sink all my cash into RBS when it was 29p. Oh well, there will be other opportunities (to miss) I suppose.............ahahaha

Hope the Q1 results are good, as it seems to be a bad move by me, pulling out of Lloyds and into this stock. Am 10% down now with the Lloyds rally and BG drop :(

Appreciate what you say and agree with your long term outlook for BG. Just that I've been in Lloyds for so long, watching it stagnate in the low 60's, now I'm out, it's on the up! C'est la vie I suppose? :)

Wish I could read the tea leaves like you. I bought in at 1172, thinking they'll be on the up. Ah well, everything comes to he who waits :)

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate this is a long term stock and that it is currently undervalued. I have short, medium and long term investments and am currently after a quick 5% return and a stock to et me that. Another stock with similar prospects for growth is BG's old stable mate Centrica. Their target is to grow from £3 to £5 by 2012.

When will these be back to £12.20..................anybody any ideas?

Fed up of this share now, I'm out. Got £2.8k to claw back from somewhere else. GL to you.
