The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Got a feeling looking at the recent trades that they could take this SP higher if they wanted to. If we had a day of decent volume my bet would be on an upward trend.
Thanks for a reply mate and your own thoughts. You may well be right to expect a better mark up on Profit figures if you look at a couple of the recent news articles on Twitter and the website. Hopefully , for the SP's benefit you will prove a better judge than me ! I may be a little cautious but that may be because if my long term hold here has made me that way. I also get an impression that with RH's accountancy background he may be the slow steady type and would rather see a gradual growth. What is most apparent is that the majority of holders here are in the dark when it comes to expectations. We know things are turning more positive but the aid of a professional broker to guide us would be a huge benefit for all invested here.
As far as the post on the website regarding facilities management / elsys I'm fairly sure this has only been added in the last week. It was however a link on the groups twitter feed around 3 weeks ago. A good insight into the type of high profile and influential customers APC are now attracting. Twitter now seems their first go too medium for information before transfer to the main website. As far as Freds question on the main LSE web page regarding what to expect as good figures in Aprils financials we are as he says slightly non plussed for guidance. I've done a bit of comparison between 2017's interims and finals and tried to work out some sort of guidance. Interim Opp Profit was 0.4M , Final 0.8M. Interim Total Profit was 0.1M , Final 0.2M. Interim Revenue 8.3M , Final 15.6M. Interim Gross margin 34.4% , Final 34.9M. Interim Cash 0.3M , Final 0.37M. Looking at these figures I would say that if the group achieves Op Profit , Tot Profit and Int Revenue with a mark up of between 8-12% improvement they will be very happy. That would show steady, consistent growth. Growth margin anywhere over 37% would also make me happy. This should be achievable taking into account the saving initiative's APC have adopted. As for cash that's only a small issue as we are still using the debt facilities and if the group is to continue growing we may still need to use this as a springboard to growth. These are only my opinions based on what we can take from past reports. It would be a major boost to the group if they could get a broker on board to give us more clarity to future expectations and try to guide the markets towards APC's improving position.
Good to see APC releasing an upbeat appreciation of itself. This signals a change for me in that the company now seems comfortable releasing small news items that boost recognition to the market. We had a period for a few years whereby the company was extremely quiet and I believe this added to the downward spiral. Nothing wrong with boasting if you have the ability to back it up. April 17th could be very important if the numbers beat expectation , a possible re rate on the cards. Overall very positive.
Nice little write up on the web site regarding APC's recognition by BAE systems for its excellent quality and reliability. BAE have 20000+ suppliers but only 2% were recognised at the conference for their high standards. APC receiving Gold standard at the conference. High praise indeed.
Hi Sahid , just been checking out the twitter feed , some very interesting news over the last two weeks. The contract you mention was for 3,200 LED panel units to improve the look and lighting for a major law firm in Old Broad street offices. This is a new contract which must be fairly lucrative judging by the num er of units mentioned. Looks like there is a fair amount of action going on behinds the scenes.
Cheers Malcolm.
Vino not all sells of a sizeable nature will be " distressed sellers ". It is just as likely that a trader working in conjunction with another trader is selling off at a profit knowing that his " partner " needs liquidity to acquire a volume of shares before another rise in SP. At present the buying is fairly consistent and with the company showing an upturn I cannot see many major holders selling out at present. Of course this is my opinion so I could be totally wrong and you may prove to be correct.
A quick message to anyone attending the AGM - Any chance you could take some notes and report back on here ?
Great stuff Sahid , more top end clients for the business. NEC is a GB renowned venue and to get that contract must bode well for future contracts. The company will be fitting 600 sensors for the other client with a view to complete the fitting of two more buildings I see. With the help of APC advisory departments it looks as though the company is starting to gain a good foothold and name in the facilities management and technology fields. Just a matter of time before we see a re-rate IMHO.
I'm sure , based on the last few days , that if we can get some decent volume they will be able to let the SP go a little. 9p could be a reality by the end of the week if the blue trades can keep coming.
Well my watch list of around 25 shares has been very red for the past 7-10 days with the markets reacting to the general market turmoils. Although not moving at all APC has stayed strongly sat at 7.75 during this period despite some mainly selling days. Today has seen hopefully the start of a move upwards and further liquidity. I'm hoping now that our new base level will be the high 7's and we can start an assault on double figures if we have a resurgent market or more news. Fingers crossed.
Just checked out CBRE website. Some impressive projects and customers on there , and very diverse. If we can build up a good relationship with them it could be extremely lucrative. Fingers crossed.
Evening all. What a great start to the new year here. I must admit that when we received the RNS regarding First Byte I was a little concerned. My reason being our past episode when APC purchased Green Compliance which resulted in a disastrous set back for the company. However looking at the detail it makes sense to purchase a company with a very similar background to APC's Internet arm. This is the big difference to the Green Compliance deal which really was a purchase that did not fit with the then profile of APC. Now we have more news today showing that APC are coming under the microscope of suppliers and producers of electronics who can see that APC is a top company in this field. What the board have done is strip back the company to its profitable departments and departments that have a history of gaining regular contracts. They are not trying to run before they can walk. The clever introduction of bolt on products and producers will only widen APC's appeal to customers. A bright future indeed if this build of profitability continues. As for the SP I think its possibly that it may stall at this level while a few short term traders take their 10/20 percent profit if they have bought in during the drop 2 weeks ago. However we may well be on the radar now of more investment groups so a push to double figures could be in the pipeline in the near future. Good luck all.
A little bit of interest over the last few days at this level.
I think a re rate at the moment is unlikely. The gains financially this year are not big enough yet. However if the company can keep these growth figures for the next twelve months then I believe we will then see true share price worth. Believe me I would like to see this back in the teens whereby we may see the trading days of old when this share could add 3/4p in a day.
Well you can't say that it isn't a positive revue , all in all a good report. Little steps and the future looks reliable if not exciting.
Very sorry but not the most exciting RNS we are ever going to read. Another distribution deal with a very young and relatively small company. What we really need are some decent sized contracts on the table , this is not going to propel our share price or excite the markets. Sorry to be a moan.
RNS tomorrow then.
Well they promised a small profit and the board have delivered. A drop in revenue though which might put some off along with a smaller gross profit. The debt is largely made up from financing facility which is proof that overheads have come down. We wait to see we the markets feel.
