Thisisbarcode - they’ve lost their main facility down in Texas for Bitcoin mining, a facility which they spent huge amounts of money constructing back in 2021 but had to sell it to Galaxy digital to keep the company afloat,

I imagine they came to an agreement at the time to continue hosting their machines for mining, it looks like that agreement has now been terminated by Galaxy so they are just left with so many thousand aging SJ19 Bitcoin miners and no where to put them….

Not sure about the AI side but seems like a distraction to me (I could Be wrong) guess this will be back in Canada in their other smaller facility which I also believe is leased. I guess is some of the staff will move on now.

He does have an element of Vitalik about him, definitely comes across as an introvert, possibly even slightly Aspergers? some people really don't like being in the spotlight so I guess he might not want to be identified or recognised by people.

I'm just guessing of course, but I have had experience of people that come across like this before, they are often very logical and clever, another example might be Michael Burry (think Big Short movie).

they certainly can be a weird breed, maybe part of the younger generation and culture, I always have a vision of Crypto inventors as a certain type of IT engineer hammering away on their computers often with bad posture then playing games in their spare time (hopefully that's just my vision!) but this doesn't usually mean they are good with people or even how to sell a product.

I mean think of Vitalik Buterin when he was younger (ok I know he's only about 30 now!) however he also seemed like he was a complete recluse, yet he invented Ethereum, an asset with a market value of 383 billion.

I get that, I guess we can only go on KR1s track record, experience and judgement which has been pretty solid in the past and seems a lot better than the alternative of having to choose the best coins myself based on my next to zero experience! Coins can be favourites one month and down the pan the next, TIA demonstrated this perfectly this year. I do however think with potential de-regulation (or rather defined regulation) in the US can only be a good thing for Crypto and the DeFi space going forwards.

Albus, my comment was meant to be a little ironic given how much Polkadot has been beaten down over the last year.

I believe Polkadot is still a solid project which has survived nicely for the last 4 years and whilst I have no idea whether it will reach it's all time high again, it does look cheap atm which may mean more upside potential at the beginning of the bull run which can only be a good thing for KR1s share price.

I know KR1 were one of the first to invest in Ethereum as a project but not sure if they still hold any, they do hold Lido which you could argue is correlated to the price of Ethereum.

Even Polkadot was up 20% earlier!

I believe their last investment was AVAIL back in June, but they're actively looking at new projects all the time.

They're definitely quite considered when choosing and investing in projects and have a lot of experience picking the winners and long term projects so you're unlikely to see Meme coins or any short term fads in their choices.

It may sound like a strange concept to Argo holders but KR1 makes profit and actually seem to know what they're doing! lol.

@charley55 Was thinking the same, bit of an end of an era for them and quite sad really pumping all that money into an amazing facility then having to sell it to Galaxy to survive and now Galaxy kicking them out! - I'm guessing this was the plan all the time, unfortunately I don't really see the point of the company now, their day was definitely back in 2021.

@driftking27 thanks, if no good news then I feel this may drift for a while plus seems to be a few opportunities elsewhere atm, will keep an eye on this over the next few weeks.
