Me too…. I’ve had the same opinion from others on this board that my holding is safe even though lost in transit between Eqi and ii. But I do have printed copies of transactions but of course no Corporate Action reported to me from ii.
Oh….. I like that, a lot - well said.
Some could say you are lucky to show a holding at all. Others, including myself, have had their holdings go missing - in my case, bought through Selftrade, passed to Eqi but did not make the final transition to ii. Hope Dave's right and computers don't forget.......
Me neither but apparently there's no need to worry.....
II are actually looking into my holding that went missing during Selftrade- Eqi - II transfer. No answer yet but they say they are looking at the problem. The truth is out there somewhere…….
A gas, gas, gas..................
Didn't realise Hunt is reducing threshold before paying CGT - current personal allowance £12300, reducing to £6000 from 6th April this year and £3000 next year unless Royal Mint are scaremongering so investors move into Bullion, coins etc....
Good job (?) I've racked up capital losses of £50,000 or so - just in case FRR come good.
Did he have a bunch of certificates under his arm?????
I just want to know who has the “Master” computer that bears all knowledge and will send me a certificate which I should not need as my holdings all went into a Nominee account with Selftrade, which became Eqi, which became II - somehow it was lost between the transfers.
Just had a look and still no holding under "Investments" just a cash balance. Same question - whose computer?
Apparently there are a few of us in a similar position. The paper records show that the holding was transferred from Selftrade and the transaction records back up the holding but ii refuse to load the holding unless I can provide them with a valid share certificate. During previous conversations Dave has maintained that "a computer never forgets" but whose computer? Who has the definitive proof that I own these shares?
Like you really worried that if this share makes a "Lazarus" recovery, where do I stand?
I prefer Richard Littlejohn's version - LGBTQwertiop - surely must cover all tastes.....
Well said Coggy, very well said…….
What certificate ???????
Drmike - thanks, found and printed, just in case……. Not quite a certificate but that’ll do for now….
Thanks for that, will go looking for it….
