May he wrong but I thought ICSID had agreed a phase out/"modernisation" with the EU. I've had the same subsequent claims issue in mind as buzz but have felt the phase out (if I'm right on that) was very positive for us precisely because it left them free to do the rkh case on its merits!
Keen to hear views on this. Late in the day but if extension then worth discussing!

My understanding is there's no "cost part" of the claim. That transaction is between a buyer who's not the legal entity the Italians swung an axe at by changing their rules, and a seller who's not being sued or asked for the "cost" back in this case, and actually isn't connected to the case at all. It's just irrelevant to the claim.
All the cash flows that go into the profit calculation would normally be discounted/accreted at the chosen rate. So yes, the end result is accumulation from whatever figure you would when the claim was filed, upto whenever an award is made.

yeh but donalD is barking up an irrelevant tree talking about multiples of what rkh paid for the Italian business.
Have made the point here before but neither rkh, not anyone else, are suing or arbitrating with the seller in that transaction who, in fact, has no involvement in the case at all.
The Italians might dream of wasting everyone's time by erecting a mirage about the seller, but the world passed them by years ago on that.

As for what actually happens, who the **** knows. We'll see But given the merits of the case we've every right to expect a figure commensurate with the damage inflicted.

Someone's paid 8p. Looks to me like the market makers are assuming the seller at 7.5 will show up. Not done so at this point.

Wonderful, 2 year licence extension, FIG yes to Navitas. Everyone where they want to be to engage with contractors, potential FPSOs.

Can be sure Navitas/rkh have laser focus on getting SL done. For them the only even possibility woul be to add a well when they get round to near- field appraisal/ development. As LTT says, in exchange for most of the licence if Argos still have it.
Possibly, maybe just, if you ask again in 5-10 years time.
