Reiteration of '24 and '26 timing sounds like quite some visibility for the path to production - to Navitas's eye at least.

But I'd add it really is not normally part of a rig or fpso or any oil equipment leasing contract for a stake in the field to be on the table. Interested to see your comment though 'cos have thought for a while that a modest slice of Navitas' stake might well be part of this deal.

The cases that Chessmaster has highlighted were initiated earlier, considerably earlier, than rkh. They have blazed the trial, particularly in shredding the attempts at a sovereign immunity defence.

So on that basis the evidence would suggest the rkh case would, in contrast, sail through. Pioneers take the pain whilst the settlers that follow just prosper, and far quicker! History isn't something you replicate. In the real world History creates a path, which you then tread into a different future.

Having said that chessmaster's timescales are prob not far off though I'd guess a bit overstated. Important thing is what it means for the judgement calls on price, terms and conditions of those that might buy the case.

Their ongoing campaign to undermine sentiment around our company serves no-one - with the exception of any bidder out there hoping eventually to succeed at the wrong price. It's a group which might include, in principle at the least, Navitas themselves. Seems to be their day job.

The aim of any bidder would of course be to grab from us the results of many years work. That work here has come from contributing relationships, exploration insights and success and other intangibles, in addition to a total cash cost (accummulated without interest) of upwards of £700m to date, and it would have a value of a multiple of the total inputs. A discount to that value is what a bidder would be after.

Perhaps Daikihaku has missed that Cairn's purple patch was 1998 to 2003 ish. Simon Thompson joined in 2005 to be commercial director. Share price had 10 bagged or whatever to 225 ish on the Indian discoveries/partnerships/lndian listing/field development etc. What he did was deliver MORE than that as special dividends in 2012, 2021 and 223, actually totalling 307p. And that is in addition to a share price of 243p when he left.

The oil price is considerably higher now, but the share price is only 180p.

Was Daikihaku perhaps in CFDs and didn't get the divis? Or maybe shaken in and out at the wrong prices for large portions of his holding? Oh dear.

Would clarify the figures are cumulative and the total across projects on p13 corresponds to the bsheet amount on p3. So should not he added together.

It was zero in March'22 then 14m by Dec '22 and upbto 17m by March '23.
