Hi yes of course, happy to chat.
When I said promote the company I did not mean to the general public. I meant in terms of the company and their PR teams highlighting the opportunity to shareholders new and old. Keeping us in the loop and interested.
The role of PR and the company in relation to shareholders is to
1) Build awareness.
2) Influence the attitude of current and new investors to the company.
3) Change or promote the behaviour of the public.
What we want to see is more interviews, more social media coverage and more shareholder engagement. This is not always the fault of the PR company who I have spoke to several times. The desire to have lots of PR or little PR is down to what the company wants and how much the company wants to spend.
But before people say that the company are right not to say waste money on interviews or such, social media is often free.
