Novice, when the sanctions started after the annexation of crimea, Russia invested internally to become more self reliant on certain goods.
The same will happen with the west now, a seismic shift away from oil/gas from unreliable partners, huge investment in solar and wind, hydrogen distribution backbone and LNG facilities.
Only thing that would slow this change down is a swift and final end to the hostilities.
