Lend lease was presented as the writing was in the wall for Ukraine. U.K. and USA had been providing support with training and military equipment since Crimea was annexed and if you remember the western intel was in the money as well.

As for unsubstantiated anti war protests in Ukraine, well money talks and you can get a rent a mob to support the mass abolition of left toe nails if you wanted. But I doubt there are any in free Ukraine but as martial law was enacted on 24/2 it would be highly unlikely anyway.

Can’t see the Ukrainians accepting anything other than the pre invasion recognised borders with crimea left in limbo for another day to sort out.
If a solution isn’t found to meet that I’d expect them to keep on until they push the Russians out or lose. Danger for Russians in that situation is losing crimea.
