In some respects the sanctioning of gas is an own goal but sometimes principles take precedent. There will be a gas squeeze in Europe this winter so my option would be to massively increase weapons supplies to bring this to an end sooner. 500 m177 and a ****load of HIMARS should do the trick

Business and the share price don’t always work in harmony. The business plan is in place to create a profitable organisation with a higher value attributed to it business strength, balance sheet and profit.
The share price is a value the current market places on its worth. That value is deflated for many reasons, economy, sales, war and uncertainty over recession but a big factor is trust. The market doesn’t add any trust value due to timelines being missed and current L series and chargers not finding customers. Will that change? Almost certainly there will be change but if in the currently overpriced energy market they can’t make sales then the value will suffer.
Bond should also be more clear and nail his colours to the mast a show delivery of shareholder expectations rather than only be crystal clear on his salary and options.
To many things disappear into the ether with Bond and his previous work history doesn’t inspire and confidence.

Roxy, you’re not correct with your assumptions. We weren’t told Russia would be outclassed, most thought the Ukrainian military would get trashed. That’s not been the case.
Sanctions were said to be a longer term tool and effects wouldn’t be immediate.
Russian economy is being propped up by the central bank and government but for how long can it be sustained.
Ruble is stronger now yes but since it’s an exporter and domestic costs are in ruble the budget will come under increasing pressure going forward.
I don’t want Russia to collapse or even VP booted out but the actions taking place have no real justification. Who leads Russia is a question for the locals, how Russia integrates and behaves internationally is a question for the international community

With very short supply lines in the east and the previous occupied areas not under Ukrainian control, most analysts say the performance has been far from good and things will only get harder as those supply lines get longer and troops get more exposed.
All the time more advanced equipment going in which will be damaging for the invadeping force.

Russia attacks nato soil it will engage.
Russian generals give up they might as well not go home, that’s the way it works there. They will either win or lose on the battlefield. Ukraine will almost certainly not accept any further land lost and will engage in a guerrilla war to inflict long term pain which will spread out of Ukraine

Roxy, inflation is transitory, subjugation is permanent. But I guess you wouldn’t fight for what you believe in. If Ukraine had invaded Russia they’d be getting castigated for their actions.
Some things can only be settled by violence and being invaded must surely be one of those times.
If you really want this share to recover you should be calling for troops to return to home bases as the Ukrainians aren’t giving up any time soon.

Not every country wants to get involved in sanctions because they already have a fragile or basket case economy.
But look at the sanctioning countries by GDP, that paints a more interesting picture.
As for the sanctions hurting the west, a bit of pain is nothing compared to what’s going on in Ukraine. Taking a little hardship supporting the best of human values is something we should all aspire to.

A smaller but more motivated force can and has won over much bigger forces. The Russians learnt this.
Ukrainians are fighting for their homes and the right to be Ukrainians, Russians in Ukraine weren’t under any threat but as always when there is change people feel angst.
As for the independent republics, that is just a power grab backed by Moscow.

Poland won’t go on a land grab. The EU and US will fund the rebuild and it’ll have more border defences than Washington DC.
As for the gas being cut off for the winter, well not ideal but clean energy will be the victor of that and European gas market will not be the cash cow for the next 25 years that it could have been.
And for what, the people of Donbas? No, smoke and mirrors as usual.
