A book I’ve just re read after first reading it a few years ago, The intelligent investor, book for any level of investor/trader. But the one thing that stuck in my mind then and is still relevant now is this
“But note this important fact: The true investor scarcely ever is Forced to sell his shares, and at all other times he is free to disregard the current price quotation. He need to pay attention to it and act upon it only to the extent that it suits his book, and no more. Thus the investor who permits himself to be stampeded or unduly worried by unjustified market declines in his holdings is perversely transforming his basic advantage into a basic disadvantage. That man would be better off if his stock had no market quotation at all,for he would then be spared the mental anguish caused him by other persons mistakes of judgement”
Very apt in my opinion for some of the daily posters we see on here!I’m long on this share, very long , and for anyone the same I would read that statement every now and again, especially when the SP drops, to remind yourselves why you invested in GGP. Money to be made here for everyone, but I intend to be here at the end when the true value will hopefully be realised
Good luck to everyone
That was a post I put up in February, more apt now than ever I feel.
My glass is still Half full and still intend to stay as long as GH is around
Happy for the ones who have made their targets
