I think it this case investors will be willing to accept that and the SP will continue to rise - it just doesn't seem to affect a strong company.

If Enquest gets a green wash, institutions will be back and SP will rise - why not join the party - plenty of green money from Governments up for grabs.

Fund raising is no problem at all when a company is growing and the pie is getting bigger - that is clearly the case here - a few small fund raises with shares going into sticky hands is excellent news.

Its far better to do it like this than to have speculation for months about how long the cash will last for - remember the last fund raise and how it held back the SP.

... and I should add - maybe so more of us will get some of the money back that we have flushed down the toilet here.

Brent is now trading at new highs - the highest since the end of October 2018.

A big thank you to those nice people at OPEC+ and one in the eye for the Yanks.

So, today should be a green day and hopefully one day Sqif will be a happy bunny.

It only takes a few sellers without any buys at the start of a news day to pull down the SP.

Just take advantage of the opportunity and plow in and buy now that its bounced - plenty of buyers now.

Its at times like this that you learn how strong the market is for a companies shares - bouncing now - a very strong buy for bargain hunters.

Buyers seem to be returning.

Yes, an excellent update, with plenty of detail this time, strong progress all round - a real encouragement to investors to continue to hold and buy to boost the SP.

It could just be down to Covid - lots of results were delayed in 2020 and I guess the accountants may still be in catch up mode.

I would certainly accept that argument and all the points you made about Enquest but it seems that all oil companies are trading at a discount to Brent, including the majors - I am not sure why when the negatives equally apply to the price of oil and the oil companies.

India produces Itaconic Acid and possibly another few countries in the region but China is the main producer.

Third world nations are more likely to benefit from off the grid solar power - its cheap and easy to deploy.

In the UK its all about supplying the grid with electricity in ever increasing amounts - especially if EV's become a reality.
This is likely to push up demand for power from all sources.

We know that solar and wind power generation is increasing rapidly and the power produced goes directly into the grid.
Its also likely that as demand increases gas powered generation will still be needed or the lights will go out.

On from there it becomes a choice of what to back up renewables with - probably in this order - 1. Nuclear, 2. Gas with carbon capture, 3. Hydrogen.
My feeling is that Nuclear will probably win as the Governments choice, especially if Rolls Royce can prove the concept of modular mini nuclear power stations.

I just don't like being wrong - I thought Enquest would fly when Brent topped $70.

Yes, all that applies but we have had negatives in the past and Enquest has always followed Brent.

The sector specific problems should devalue Brent as well as oil companies, but Brent is strong and oil company shares are weak - it doesn't compute.

Why do you think that oil shares haven't fully responded to Brent at two year highs?

An interesting move up this morning - hopefully bodes well for next weeks results.

That's the expectation, but it hasn't even happened for BP yet - I would have thought ENQ should be 24-25p by now and BP 350p+.
Enquest has never lagged Brent like this, in the five years or so that I have been investing, and with Brent clearly on the rise that is inexplicable.
