RSI has been moving to overbought for several days, the fact that the correction has only just come shows resilience, despite increase in US production back to May2020 levels.

Brent fell to $72 and has now bounced and looks to be heading back to around $73.

Just sentiment getting ahead of reality - in this case reality will catch up and Brent will roar away again, probably in days rather than weeks.

The volatility with Enquest's SP does show just how sensitive the day traders are with oil shares even on a day to day basis.

It looks like a pull back today from overbought - overall trend is still strongly up but this little rally seems to be over.

One reason to invest in Enquest and North Sea oil is that this industry will be embracing change over the next few years.
It could have a role in carbon storage or in the case of Sullom Voe as a hub for renewables.

When it happens, the green wash on the SP could be dramatic - far more than a temporary spike in Brent up to $100.

Yes, certainly Ammu, after so many years being down and at times seeing profit ebb/flood away as a long term holder, it makes a refreshing change to be in profit - it could take a while to wipe out the losses though - it would certainly need Brent at $100.
You certainly have the right strategy with oil shares.

The SP isn't actually doing that badly, its doubled since last August and held an upward trend line on the low points since then.
I doubt much will happen for the next few months other than this limited volatility in the current range - best to go on holiday and relax.

It seems this is one share where even patience won't be rewarded - that's a shame because its a great company with plenty on the go but for one reason or another profit doesn't seem to be a priority.

I am still very much in, now up 24.3% - actually my best performing investment at the moment - period.

The big difference today is volume - well up!

The main advantage of these partnership deals is when they provide substantial equity funding - this has been the key to the rise in CWR's SP over the last few years.

Both Weichai and Bosch have also added to their holdings to maintain their percentage holdings when funds are raised and currently own 38.2% of the company between them. This ensures fund raises go very smoothly and in many cases they actually have triggered a rise in the SP, despite the dilution.

To jump to the next level EQT certainly need an equity partner on board - it would make all the difference.
