UK motorists seem to be doing their best to push up demand for Brent - the roads are mega busy today.

Very high volume of 53,360,570 shares traded yesterday, allied to the sharp gain in the SP and has kicked of well this morning with almost 8,000,000 shares traded - maybe a big buyer taking a stake?

I think that its reasonable to expect that as WTB's market improves we could see the SP take another leg up to above 3500.

But, don't expect fireworks, this is a solid asset rich investment, not a dynamic one. As such it is still a strong buy to add stability to any portfolio.

Good strength in the SP here - especially for August - only a matter of time before it breaks over 1p - a very strong long term term hold.

Bottom line is that there are far to many Supermarkets in the country. There were to many when it was just the big four and now with the discounters opening stores with gay abandon the situation is unsustainable.

Spreading the chain of distribution so much is always going to cause problems when something snaps - its also very wasteful and probably increases prices.

Think on this - if Sainsbury's, ASDA and Waitrose all permanently closed tomorrow, customers would hardly notice the difference.

Still no sign of a reversal of fortunes, change of broker will help, next update has to be positive and there is every expectation that it will be, in the meantime SP drifts - be patient.

Bottom line is that Q2 update in July was very good with plenty going on, its only a matter of time before we see positive developments, therefore, its just a case of holding - SP will come out of the doldrums sooner or later.

I think that its true to say that the case referred to in Valuplay's Wednesday 22.05 post is now irrelevant - that line of defence hasn't been successful - the reason being that the patent referred to is to old to be of significance.

The problem is Kslonee, is that you need a legal mind to interpret all this and with five cases on the go that becomes even more difficult.

I think the recent rise in the SP and the fact that Ocado's two biggest shareholders have been investing even more in the company is a very good sign - in other words the legal experts think the cases are proceeding in Ocado's favour.

If Brent can hold its recovery from $65 to $72 in just six days and stay in this range then the stability that brings will certainly allow Enquest's share price to continue to slowly rise towards Barclays target price.

$80+ Brent would damage the market and be followed by a dive, no way that Barclays target would be reached then - what we have now is perfect.

I think that we must still wait and see Valueplay, but its certainly encouraging - maybe the news is also partly fuelling the rise in the SP?

The shorts are probably balancing their positions and buying long as the SP increases - especially Pelham, the clue is in the name of the fund, Pelham Long/short Master Fund.

They make money by shorting and buying long at the same time - how they balance their positions is the profit and the insurance against big losses.

The applications for Ceres tech are very wide ranging - that is the main benefit of investing here - something will stick and move the company into full profitability.

Investors need to be aware that if one route to profitability closes another will open. The Weichai bus trials are probably an example of this. It seems unlikely that Weichai will now use this tech in buses but they are going ahead and finding other uses, so the partnership is alive and well.

Personally, I now think that all hydrogen powered land vehicles, including HGV's and Buses wont be developed - the advances in battery technology are so significant that hydrogen powered vehicles wont get a look in.

But, as AquaeSulis has pointed out in his post this morning the marine market is very much alive and well for Ceres.
