Yes, we certainly need more green energy and hydrogen has a part to play in that - especially in power generation - but we also need an insurance for when the wind doesn't blow - hydrogen may form a part of that insurance, but nuclear also needs to be developed as the ultimate back up.

Yes, its certainly easy to add hydrogen to natural gas and eventually replace all the natural gas fed through the gas main.

It will be interesting to see if that becomes a reality, because at the moment the Government seem intent not to follow this path - new houses are being built without provision for gas.

Heavy industry powered by hydrogen, especially in certain localities, will certainly be a viable option - this would also help reduce electricity usage.

Maybe this might be a good option - electricity for domestic, land transport and most business use - hydrogen for industry [via the gas grid] and marine.

Electricity is required to produce hydrogen in fuelling stations so grid capacity could impact network development in the same way as electric charge stations.

Also drivers tend to charge electric vehicles at home overnight when demand for electric power is lower - hydrogen stations would be busier during the day.

Ships need to carry their fuel, therefore, hydrogen is certainly a viable option and with the Ceres/Doosan partnership, we could see some interesting developments. Also Weichai Power manufactures marine engines.

Using EP to secure a deal to develop an oil field in the North Sea or beyond would be the best option - just take a percentage to provide and operate EP - there must be plenty of undeveloped small fields that could be viable with that sort of deal.

The point is that most of these were probably forced closures, and there could be more to come - the market has and is continuing to adjust far beyond the fall in demand.

I think that M&S are now ideally placed to capitalise and although the trend is towards online, many consumers still like physical stores.

That's the big problem with hydrogen powering road transport - what comes first the infrastructure for refuelling or the vehicles - one doesn't work without the other and who will provide finance to build the infrastructure?

I can certainly see that hydrogen will have a role in marine transport and maybe for trains if lines are not electrified.

Ceres will have much more of a role in electric power generation, as will hydrogen, than the end use of the power generated.

The future is electric - its simply more convenient and batteries make it portable.

I think that might be pushing it a bit, but we will see - 300p would be knocking on the door of the FTSE100 - if the institutions start investing anything is possible.

Its not just about superior hydrogen tech - there are plenty of instances where inferior tech has won the day.

Battery tech will probably win out - because it is here now - power top up is easy, even from home - the vehicles are cheaper to make and service - massive investment has already been made in new factories and R&D giving huge benefits of scale over hydrogen.

Also new battery tech using different types of batteries with longer range, even for HGV's and buses, this will effectively block future development towards hydrogen powered vehicles.

Luckily, there are plenty of other uses for Ceres fuel cells.

I don't like the way Barclays jumped in so quickly after the update - I guess they were expecting something more positive - but as you say at least the target is significantly higher than the current SP.

If it can be adapted locally and used in the North Sea then that is obviously a better option.

But what Enquest needs more than anything else is more production, so if AB can match EP to a field that needs developing and take a percentage ownership of the field in return for supplying and operating EP, that would be the best option.

The modifications needed to conform to the new emissions targets could be a potential problem for North Sea use.

Maybe it would be better to send EP to Singapore for any work needed and then redeploy her to Malaysian waters - AB has lots of contacts in the Far East.

Yes, ENQ failed today but there is certainly the possibility of much better fortune in 2022 - hopefully that potential will show in a steadily improving SP, when the dust settles, through the rest of this year and into 2022.

Yes, ENQ still flashing amber, as Kraken says very frustrating.
But, I guess its the nature of contrarian stocks - big capital gain possible but unpredictable on the downside.
I am still holding for the medium-long term and won't trade - brought in at around 17p - so little point.
