I think that we can safely assume that trading conditions have improved even more over the last two months since June - especially as the European recovery from Covid caught up with the US.

Very impressed by the interview and the answers given - especially the four S's - Supply, Sales, Sustainability and Scale.

Underlines what a good long term hold TRX is - especially with the strengthened board and commercial drive.

I fear the SP may be in the doldrums for a while longer but at least it seems to have levelled out.

A steady flow of good news between now and Christmas should help turn the tide - hopefully FinnCap can play their part in that.

As always patience is the key.

Numbers are only one factor when it comes to building the SP of a company - admittedly they are the most important factor.

But other factors also build the value of a company, most are obvious but its sentiment that drives the SP and when it is lacking the numbers become meaningless.

To truly gauge sentiment you need to compare companies in different sectors - this is when it becomes apparent just how important it is, and underlines why the numbers are not the driver and "if you build it and they will come" is actually a hope rather than a certainty.

More the change in sentiment - sentiment has always been THE major problem with Enquest - it takes an enormous effort to build, now its reversed the SP will take some lifting - GE will help, but realistically we will have to wait for the next set of results.

This is why I was so annoyed about IC on Monday morning.

Still holding and will continue to do so - as I said long term potential remains but is still to be realised.

This knock back will realistically take a while to resolve, hence the pessimism - with the update most of us were expecting the SP should have been over 30p by now, with the potential starting to be realised and sentiment riding high.

The problem with another Magnus type deal is that it would probably mean another rights issue and with the SP still at this level that would be painful - long term shareholders have never got any value from Magnus, just a diluted holding.

I hate to say but it looks like Jefferies have it spot on - 24p looks all that is achievable, even with GE, as the SP slides below the rising trend line - 32p is what we would have had with better production numbers.

Enquest continues to be a contrarian hold, all the while Brent stays around this level the potential remains, even though sentiment is now shot to pieces, AGAIN!

Its all going much better than I dared hope for - it seems my SP targets were way too pessimistic.

Today's close just about holds the rising trend line from the October 2020 low but we will need to see a recovery for the rest of the week to reinforce that.

Many will argue that day to day movements in the SP don't matter long term but this is not always the case.

Sentiment was badly knocked by the production numbers in the update and now today we got a kicking by IC while we were down - luckily the SP recovered somewhat this afternoon.

The trouble now is that momentum has gone and that will affect the SP long term. What should have been a good push towards 30p last week has turned negative and we will have to wait until the GE deal completes before the SP pushes on again towards 30p.

The net effect of that is that even with GE the SP may not reach 30p - if everything had gone well the SP could have been well over 35p - hence the long term difference.

No developments in any of the various court cases - re patents - in the last week, other than new documents added by Autostore on 30th August 2021 in one of Ocado's counter claims.

Its easy to dismiss the IC article but it will remain as part of the record - future investors researching Enquest may also be misled.

The problem is that the IC article did make a clear case to sell using their figures - the standout being that Kraken production had fallen by 30%.

I understand what romaron is saying and in most instances he would be right, but in this case the numbers were so misleading that they should be corrected.

Yes, and erroneous comment from the likes of IC doesn't help early on a Monday morning in thin trading.

The problem is that Governments don't think long term and as time goes by views change within Government, even at the change of a Minister.

Corporations and pressure groups, such as Greenpeace, are the only constant, so policy will always be heavily influenced by who Government listens too. In the UK that is always likely to be the Corporations in the final instance, regardless of who is in power.

Unfortunately EP wouldn't be suitable - she couldn't handle the heavy Kraken oil and I doubt she could be adapted - handling heavy oil is much more of a technical challenge, as investors who were here in the early days of the Kraken field will remember.
