Trump's patience with Zelensky is wearing very thin and I expect a reaction from Trump after the next meeting if Zelensky does not accept the terms on offer.

Sure, they're unfair but terms for the losing nation always are, they are never going to get better, only worse, especially if Zelensky loses US guarantees & has to depend on European Security as they have run out their small stockpile of ammunitions and armaments and it will take up to 10 years to get up to a standard where they can protect themselves & Ukraine.

It really doesn't look good for Cameroon on licensing if it only takes a month to get a license but then years to approve a drill !

I don't understand how Cameroon can accept license proposals in March 26 & make final decisions in April 26 but they can't sign an already approved document in 13 months?

No rig can be contracted until approvals. Simples.

New Cabinet must be installed before approvals & then New Cabinet must sign off Approvals before a rig can be contracted. Once a rig is contracted, then services can be procured.

Its standard practice to make the world think the talks aren't meaningless and also to keep DT intetested as both do not wish him to lose interest for their own respective reasons.

If they really wanted to make peace- they could do so in one meeting but neither side actually wants peace unless its on their own unacceptable terms so the war rages on.

Its unheard of to have 10 rounds of peace talks over a 4 year period and be no nearer peace than you were on the first round 4 years ago but that's where we are !

After only 2hrs this morning. Both parties simply stated their respective unacceptable terms again for the 10th time and then as is usual,stared into space for the other 1.55.mins before leaving.

Another (11th)complete waste of time meeting is to be arranged soon whereby both parties will again state their own respective unacceptable terms before departing and arranging the 12th waste of time meeting where they will both once again state their own respective unaccceptable terms before departing and arranging the 13th waste of time meeting etc etc ...........😴😴😴

There's little point debating about rig selection/timings etc until goverrnment approvals have been granted and approvals won't be granted until after a new cabinet has been installed, this could be tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. Nobody has any idea whatsoever when Biya will announce his new cabinet nor how long it will take the new cabinet to sign the approvals.

Naturally its extremely frustrating for Tower shareholders having to wait years for a process that historically generally takes around 3 to 6 months ( 3 being the shortest & 6 being the longest, Tower are months into their second year)

From the horses mouth, , the more likely scenario on approval is that it will take several months to secure a rig and then several months to procure services for the rig.

Seems some here are living in the past and not up to date with the anticipated run of events.

The upshot is it will be months, how many, no one knows, after approvals before they Spud Thali.

On approval a search for a rig can begin, then, once a rig is sourced, contracts will be negotiated and signed, it will then be a further few months to get all the necessary kit.

So 3/4 months from approvals is a reasonable timeframe to Spud providing everything goes well and to plan.

The Q2 window has realistically probably gone now so its Q3 at best but it could as easily roll in Q4 or 2027 given the Presidents extraordinary laid back approach to everything that comes his way.

Its Simple ; Russia wants to dictate its peace terms only to Ukraine & its happy to have the US mediate because they agree with and accept Russia's demands if it solves the conflict, the last thing Russia wants is a European in the room throwing endless spanners in the works as all peace talks would then become pointless and a waste of Everyone's time ! ( Yes, these talks are also pointless & a waste of time but Russia will eventually get what it wants so its going along with these pointless peace talks so it doesn't look bad to the world as it would if they refused all dialogue)

However, Russia is willing to talk to the Europeans separately as long as the Ukraine peace terms are not a topic. Simples.

UK is there only for follow on talks without Russia being present 'After' The Trilateral Talks.

So the usual nothings. Russia will not allow UK or any other European into peace talks. Period.

They are simply not important enough to be present.

Okfornow, naturally Ukraine, supported financially & militarily by 27 of the Wests wealthiest countries is going to inflict some damage on Russia just as Germany inflicted some damage on Russia & the US at the end of WW2 as they were getting overun & annihilated.

Point being....In war you can be getting hammered and losing on every front but still dish out some damage to the enemy but as with Germany at the end of WW2, the damage Ukraine can do to Russia will not in anyway effect the outcome of the war.

Yes, I think Trump's patience with Z is at breaking point. He sees him as completely ungrateful for all US Support and all Trumps peace efforts.

Z doesn't seem to understand he is the loser in this war and losers in war do get to name terms .

Trump should tell Z, this really is it now, if you wanna fight this lost cause to the last man, good luck but its no US Security Guarnteees & No more US military equipment or intelligence .

If Trump doesn't take these harsh measures, Z will never surrender and the war will rage on for another 5/10 years before Ukraine send out their last soldier with the white flag.

Its much better that Peace comes when the last Ukrainian soldier falls rather than now when they can retain 80% of their country.

Sure, this will take another 5/10 years but the day will come when Ukraine sends out its last soldier and raises the white flag.

The terms then will be complete & unconditional surrender and much more land lost than 20%, perhaps even all of Ukraine, and no US security guarantees.

This is definitely a better option for Ukraine than the terms offered now and I can see why they do not accept the current peace terms .

Its better to lose everything and have no US security guarantees than lose 20% of your country and have US security guarantees.

They must be in Geneva for some other business as the UK has no business at these Peace Talks, not that you can actually call them peace talks with both parties simply stating their respective unaccceptable terms and then staring into space for the rest of the meetimg and then afterwards stating that talks were constructive (meaningless) and progress was made ( even though it wasn't ) to make it look like these complete waste of time talks are worthwhile and to create the impression that both want peace when in reality both 100% do not want peace unless its on their own unacceptable terms.

I can't believe the US is turning up time after tine just to listen to the two waring parties state their respective terms for the 10th time and refuse to negotiate a peace deal.

I don't know how google calculates mkt cps but its not that important Squirrel, you can only buy or sell @ the quoted market prices so that's all that really matters.

I would expect more drifting lower in the coming months if we don't get approval.

Biya doesn't seem to be in any rush to name his new cabinet-let alone approve farm out/drill.

The Q2 window to drill is getting shorter by the day and will soon be out if no approvals come in the next few weeks.
