Had someone taken a T trade out any time from the beginning of the month they would have got it anywhere between 80 & 90p. So if they closed at anywhere between 90 &100p they would have made money or kept the difference in shares. If however they could see it dropping below what they paid they would struggle to sell and lose money.
I think some may have been frightened into closing. All conjecture on my part.
One plausible answer could be some are closing their T20's. I know one guy said last week when the price dropped that he had closed his and there was another to come. That was a 12k close if I remember right. There may be others closing T trades. Worth a thought.
A lot of guys have agreed to bombard Q&A and Allenby for an update on things to steady the ship.
Allenbys address and number is on the last rns if you all wish to join in.
I agree, Europe needs the G&O and Russia needs the money from it, simple as.
Putin could have fired those missiles and took ours down, they are said to be that good. But he didn't. Why?
Etheir they are not has good or he didn't want escalation. He has been made to rethink IMO.
Just sabre rattling now and face saving.
Could be anything, update on what's in the ground, drill results, JV at Kommi, re entry's, side tracks, you name it. Any one or all in the next 2or3 months.
Wideyed, the mid has moved up to 82.5p but the spread has eased. 80-85p now. You may be able to get some at 85p before it moves but it does look like they want sells by paying 80p instead of the 77p they have been paying today.
The market cap/share price is rediculess when you consider the next tanker shipment will be worth more than the m/c.
Alright that is not all profit but there is another tanker later on and the day to day sales at the other site and the on going work overs and drilling on both sites. Put this with the value of the refinery and infrastructure and the two new sites that will add to production and the sp and m/c are a joke.
Europe I'll have to be very carefull in what they sanction in that all, including us, rely heavily on Russian gas and oil. If they stop selling to us for even 3 weeks with the weather as it is we would be in the poo. IMO.
I do believe I said, can't see anyone selling at under 3 I won't be. I wasn't implying I would sell at that or the sp wouldn't go on much further than that. With good drilling results, a placing and or JV I think it will go much further than 3. I do reckon 3 is a good near term target.
Keep in mind folks the main share holder holds very close to 50% then there is the directors! Any buy back would have to mean them surrendering shares in my view or things could become dangerous for the rest of us IMO. Would they wish to do that? I think not. Would we want directors and one holder to exceed 50% between them? I wouldn't!
I think not, share are already tightly held and has we have seen any buy/sell is reflected sometimes in big swings. At the time of consolidation I thought 1 for 10 rather than 20 was plenty and still do.
