Brotherant, they have always used this arrangement to pay taxes etc up front. Probably tax efficient to do so.
Most long termers regard it as an upfront payment from Petroco deducted when they get the oil shipment.

For people looking in here trying to decide if they want to come in. I would say consider that the refinery alone is very probably the same value of the current Mcap let alone the rest of it with increasing oil production. The two tanker exports a year return not far off it ether and then the refined sales at the other site on a day to day basis with highly lucrative bunker oil sales direct to come in the coming year. Do the sums, this is worth many times it's current value.
I would add that some years ago now when the Co was nothing like it is now an offer of 250p a share was rejected. So what's it worth now?

A lot of sells coming in and the price hasn't moved. Is there a big buyer in the back ground?

Have you all noticed there is no sign yet of a large sell that took the price right down? If there was no large sell why did price drop before and after rns when there was more buy than sell? Did mm's short this and struggling now to get them back? Is that why it's not going up? One guys 10k buy Tuesday morning hasn't shown yet either.
Seems to me mm's are controlling this and not the law of supply and demand.

Agree Dillad, can't get a quote under 3k nt over that 99.9p. On that they need to raise mid to 97p and bid 94p to get it moving. It's as if they dont want to trade and do business with this, they just want it ti stand still.

One of the guys on ADVFN has put in another order for 10k shares. His other buy of 10k ain't showing yet from yesterday. What the mm are doing is unacceptable, they are giving a false picture of the market.

I know one guy bought 10k about 9.30am time and it's still not showing, twisting sods.

In regard to getting a in a drill team, I would thing getting in a team to work in those conditions would be very difficult and working a new rig they are not firmilier with either. I wouldn't do it, sod that. I would have doubts they could do any better on thinking about it. I seem to recall the report saying the area was difficult with faults so they went with care whilst still learning about new rig is my guess.
I'm not making excuses for them it just seems reasonable to me.

Yes, 10k bought about 4pm time, not showing yet. That's 27.5k bought today against 1675 sell. Or sells we know of.
They must have got shares at a silly price to keep sell to folk at these prices.. If I remember right they only paid in lower 80s for that 42.5k so I suppose they can afford to off load at these price to average out. The sooner the overhang is cleared the better for us that are already well in.

I think the mm's have quite an over hang of shares. Remember that 42,000 sell a few weeks back that wasn't reported till late next day? If someone sold a big tranche this morning that's not showing yet that will account for the drop.
I have no doubt this will come good. My only bitterness is if this takes a 20-30% leap on the next news it's only going to put us at an sp price of where we were a few months ago instead of 130-150p range which is a shame.

Bangers, it's not strange at all why we have taken an interest in the port. A good forward thinking move. There is far more money to be made for bunker fuel sold direct for one. If we are very much increasing production we need takers for it, this is it at higher levels of profit than selling to the local market. Bunker fuel is highly profitable.
At a meeting in November the CEO said that's what they were aiming for.

Both sells were on the 24th. One showing earlier that morning that doesn't show here. Hence the price drop.
Hopefully we can move on now and some can buy in cheap before news comes.

You are quit right Dart68, it doesn't take long at all to load. It's getting the right conditions, no high winds which have been present. One of the guys that's in the business and has shipping positions has confirmed the tanker has left.

Can't get excited about the tanker. It's going to load 20k tons of oil. We know that so end of. It's the rest that will be the real sp mover that I want to hear about.
