I will back you , when you take over the Country ! All very sensible statements .HS2 is a totally mad idea , dreamt up by loonies to line their pockets. Less than 3 hours from Liverpool to London , no problem ! Why do we need faster ?

I wish I was younger , I would volunteer to go into the factories and Head Office , and do a total evaluation of the business .We need to employ proactive people in charge who know the manufacturing side , not ivory tower merchants!

This Ocado nonsense has got to be stopped , it is a path to total wipeout of the business , it is a disastrous move, M&S is not Tesco , it is too expensive for normal folk . Why can't the Directors see this ! Get them out of their ivory towers , and into the real world . Their clothes are dreadful , both for men and women. They have no design flair , Next leave them standing . The whole Board need replacing!

Your statement of under 40's getting something for tea on way home is typical M&S in Liverpool , not a weeks shop , just too expensive .and certainly not a home delivery which charges for transport. Rowe is a complete MORON to think this can possibly work . Is he out to destroy the remaining business . It certainly looks like this from my perspective . Can we see the directors and their families share transactions prior to this announcement , as I imagine they would have dumped the shares , knowing the impact it would have on share price. IF I had known this was coming I would have got out pdq.. M & S still have the RAJ mentality ! All of course in my humble opinion.!

A total disaster awaits ! Never mind Rowe , the word Sink comes to mind !!! I cannot see it working , M&S customers are not online food delivery people , most are older and not computer savvy. The customers are mainly index linked pensioners looking at my area , and they are a dying breed.The products are too expensive for ordinary young people ,with massive mortgages and student loan debts.

But in reality there must be a figure that can be attributed to the pension fund deficit , to give us a true picture of how much of a mess the Directors in their Lady Bountiful mode got us into by overpaying for additions in the past. To try and sort some of the mess out , perhaps they should start by looking at Mr Kipling packaging , way over the top , and cake size way to small .

It may be having problems , but it is by far the finest Tomato ketchup on the market. When I was in business , I tried to match the flavour , but never quite managed it. The same for Salad cream , sold hundreds of tonnes of it , but I could always pick out Heinz in tasting panels .

Am I dreaming , or could AB foods be running a slide rule over this lot . The sum of the parts is greater than the whole . Could be an interesting thought. Again ADM could buy the lot out their petty cash , and dump the rubbish brands , would fit in nicely with their vast holdings in flour /bread , Hovis could be a nice asset to market worldwide,.

I ask the question is it possible that ABF could be looking at Premier Foods as a likely takeover target , perhaps their sugar and other ingredient takeoff requirements would enhance ABF share price and turnover , or perhaps ADM might go into a joint venture with them to offload some of their flour and other interests .PFD share price is certainly very low at present after disastrous management decisions and strategy ,I believe the sum of the parts is greater than the sum of the whole. Watch this space , something has got to happen in near future .PFD shareholders are very unhappy after McCormack rebuff which would have put money in their pockets..

I cannot understand anyone buying into this lot now , looking at their track record .They are right being in mining , because they just produce bottomless pits for our money to sink into oblivion ! I am very unhappy.

Amazing , taken over without the agreement of the small shareholder yet again . It should not fall into foreign hands.I have loyally held these shares for many years . Do we never learn , when things get tough the foreigners abandon us , or asset strip us. If it is good for the Canadians why is it not good for us ? Do we actually own any of our businesses now ? It should be stopped!
